Just wanted to say thank you so very very much for your videos. If it wasn’t for you posting on how to calibrate the tilt, I might have given up on riding. And this toy is the only reason my extremely overweight big butt has gotten me off my couch. I’m down 57 pounds in 4 months of playing outside. As well as cutting out soda. But the Onewheel is my motivation!

I didn’t buy a new xr I bought a used one as this anti right to repair your own stuff has me pissed and I love the Onewheel but at the same time do not want to support a company that does shit like that therefore I purchased used. Awesome video! Too many good points. I blew through my GTs warranty within 5 months... so am I just supposed to buy a new $2500 board twice a year so I can get it repaired if anything happens? Right to repair is the only way this sport survives long term, and community members like you are fighting the good fight to make sure that right prevails. Imagine a KTM that bricked itself if you swapped the battery...

Thanks for this. FM claims on the box that the board comes with custom shaping, two years later, still nothing… Then a company that actually makes the custom shaping we've been wanting gets pushed by FM to remove the app. It's glaringly obvious they're all about money and control, while claiming to be all about safety and "spread the stoke, bro". Once we get the GT permanently repairable in all parts, I really hope FM gets sued into oblivion. Thank God my friend Shaiden who got me into OW back in 2019 warned me about evil FM. I have bought 3 GTs all used because I don't want to directly support them. What a joke of a company! Kyle didn't even invent the OW as noted by Floatwheel where they reference the RU-vid video from 5 years before Kyle patented the design. Hopefully quick swap batteries come within the next few years. I would rather have that than more capacity. Because then I would only take the back up battery on longer trips, and also, I could ship the board easily without worry.

Would love to try the Re calibration BT app. Where can it be found ? Have looked bot so many links and pages moving and or have been taken down.

I believe that has to do with the bms battery cell percentage not being calibrated. I've swapped bms before and had to recalibrate my XR because my battery percent was way off. Once recalibrate it read correctly. So I'd say once you recalibrate it would read the battery percentage correctly.

So did hooking it up to the charger and charging it to 100% fix the 1% issues. I could see Furture Motion setting it up so that it constantly says 1% from there on.

I was about to let go my gt cuz of all the problems and dont wanna deal with long term my battery die and especially we cant replace the battery and the loose xt60 connector, one more thing my gt randomly shuts off during mid ride, do you have an advice for this? I have no warranty and no plans so send it back. I only have 56 miles on it but bought it 2nd hand. Hopefully you could help me out. Thanks.

My gt been down a while has same red blinking light n it's a pain

I air travel with 2-3 XRs everywhere I go. Disassemble, ship batteries ahead, reassemble at destination. Have been doing thisnfor 2 years but now have the following issues: Example: A week before my trip I ship a battery to my destination that is 20% charged. On the day I leave, I remove a battery that is 100% charged from the XR I take with me. At hotel, I reinstall the battery I shipped out. The app on phone shows it is 100% charged. I ride it. It dies at 80%. I recharge it. It stops at 100%. I ride it again. This time it dies at 85%. After another charge to 100%, it dies at 90%. Eventually it gives me about 1.5 miles before it dies. That formerly good battery will never be normal again. I recharged and imprinted new max levels to the cells. Boom! A retail $500 XR battery pack is now ruined. 4 of my 6 XR batteries now either won't hold any charge or they max out at 59.5 amps and only ride for 6-8 miles before they die.

Yo the battery thing is literally for safety...frfr would you go under your Tesla and start unplugging the battery...most people can't even change their grip tape properly....lol.... Besides you don't need to unplug anything cuz you can send your boards to Future motion for 600 bucks free shipping and battery installed there is no need to dig into your board...find me a better deal than that

This is called "volatile memory" in programing. The "memory" is held in a mico controller ( a very cheap one ) that loses its memory when it loses power. A nin volatile micro controller cost a bit more and will not lose its program when power is dosconnected. The reason it shows 1% after you unplug it is because future motion sucks at programming. Their coding has so any extra variables and unfinished abandoned code it literally looks like it was programmed by a 10 year old. They also have a line that is very sus it shows a ticker that has a else/if line that marks 5000km ( in the board i checked ) meaning that at around 5000km it WILL brick.. dont buy their shit, get a vesc
