I grow hair on my chin, chest, neck, and happy trail. Recently got hormones checked and my levels are completely fine and healthy which means it is hereditary on me. I got electrolysis on my chin about 3 times and the hairs are about 80 percent gone (mind you the hairs on my chin where basically abnormal peach fuss so you could basically only see it in the light) now I’m about to work on my chest area which is my worst area yet. It’s crazy how one mean comment in middle school can cause all this.

I have very similar hair growth patterns to you. I had so many terrible experiences with laser (generating regrowth) and improperly done electrolysis (scabbing & red pigmentation) that it severely affected my mental health in my 20s. I wish I could stick these videos in a time machine & send them to myself in the early 2010s. Just to feel less alone would have been amazing. Keep these videos up ❤️ they are doing a world of good

I just started on electrolysis and didn’t scab at all. I think maybe my hair is not course and it’s blonde. And I’m so happy that I have started on this treatment even though I don’t have much facial hair I just want hairless face. I definitely recommend it that who are thinking to start.

It’s so true what you’re saying about being able to feel the pluck. I went to one lady who was rushing through because i have a very THICK beard and she wanted to make me feel good about how quickly she was finishing but it was so wrong. My second session, I went to a different Electrologist and I’ve gone to her ever since. I have had at least 5 hour long sessions and we haven’t been able to clear my chin area alone yet. Like i said i have a full blown beard. It’s disgusting. So in another 10 hours i think I’ll be cleared for the first time. I haven’t been scarred but i have scabbed each time. The lady keeps telling me that i am not hydrated enough so she needs to try the same hair like 3 times sometimes before she can take it out without me feeling the pluck. So stay extremely hydrated!!!! If you have to pee more than 25 times a day you’re doing it right!

I'm doing electrolysis (on my face and my body) and after 1-2 hours my skin is red and there is a lot of scabs, but the cosmetologist says she makes a stronger current to make the hair to disappear faster, can that really be the case? will there be no scars?

Greetings from Greece.I have PCOS too and Hypothyroidism,two possible causes of hirsutism.I don't have higher testosterone levels or generally higher male hormones,I have regular periods, I'm 42 kilos and i don't have acne( i faced acne only once,for 3-4 months,but I don't think PCOS caused it,i think my stress levels was the main reason.After I calmed down,my acne disappeared),but i have hirsutism on my chin and side parts.I did a really bad mistake,i had laser done(alexandrite) and it really stimulated more hair to grow,which really disappointed me.I didn't have hair on my neck and after having laser on my side parts,they appeared new hair on my neck too.Fortunately,the hair are not very thick but they are long and it really makes me feel uncomfortable.I don't take any medication for PCOS because as I told you before everything is fine except hirsutism.My endocrinologist told me that my hair follicles are sensitive to androgens even though they are balanced in my blood and suggested receiving BC.Anyway, I found a very trustworthy girl who does electrolysis and after she saw me she relieved me that my hair growth is not that much and she persuaded me not to start BC only because of hirsutism,which we still don't know if it is because of PCOS, hypothyroidism or laser hair removal.I'll start sessions on tuesday and I cam say I'm really excited about it.I hope i found the solution to my problem,and i hope more women who suffer that syndrome,watch your video and avoid having laser hair removal on their face.Take care and thank you because of you i learned about electrolysis :)

Hi girlie, I recently got my first electrolysis 2 days ago and I am still have red bumps and have many small white heads/pimples. Should I do something about them? My after care has just been aloe vera gel in the AM and PM after washing/rinsing face and treated areas, chin and neck. Thank you in advance.

I have very thick hairs on my upper lip. Is it always bad to feel a pluck? I always feel my electrologist plucking on my lip, but she has great reviews and I have no permanent skin damage from her after 4 months of weekly sessions. She’s also affordable and flexible which is huge for me. I don’t want to leave her, but what if her treatments aren’t even working 😟?? Is it possible that thick hairs just require multiple treatments & thus will feel plucked on the first few rounds? How can I ask her to adjust? Do I need a higher setting or just better insertion?

You are strong and well determined. You are blessed to have an electrolysis clinic in your city . I need to travel 7 hrs to reach my place lol. Did you get your hormone levels checked? Which stream of hormone is more staggered off?

This might sound dumb because I am getting electrolysis done but I never went to a doctor to see why I have the unwanted hair. Can a person have PSOS and have a normal cycle.

Can electrolysis cause hair growth in area that hair has never grown? I only have a couple of hairs that grow on my chin and neck but I don’t want o start electrolysis on those areas and then have hair start growing other places it hasn’t grown before.

Have you heard of the electrolysis kit on Amazon? It's the clean and easy brand. Do you recommend those kits? It would be helpful for me to do electrolysis at home between treatments and during this time of isolation.

I’m worried as after 2 sessions of electrolysis I’m noticing hair growth in those areas which are not treated. Whether it’s a paradoxical growth or something else? It’s been 3 months I have not shaved my face.

I've had professional laser on the lower half of my face and neck. It worked on my side burns but if I go 2 or 3 days without threading I have quite a lot of stubble. I've also gained some thicker hairs on my neck. My home laser (phillips) died last week. Would love to try electrolysis.
