The first brick built LEGO fire engine set. Even with the instructions this set is harder to build than you might think.Inventories on Peeron and Bricklink were different. Brickfactory was missing a step. Even with all the steps on the instructions - there are things hard to follow.

Ran into an issue with the set 371-3. Seaplane. A couple different ways to build the set apparently…. At least according to on line

On Bricklink I think there is a way to request a set inventory change if mistakes are found

Yes there is. I think I should at least request adding the 2 2x8 bricks even if I’m not sure it’s 100% correct. Also I forgot to mention the box shows a blue brick on the front

6:37 Lego switched from CA to ABS in 1964, so the set could have been both.

Hey Jaabo, amazing video as always, very interesting!! 👌🏼 I wanted to ask a favour actually… I live at home at the moment and we have the family box of Lego under the stairs that’s full of vintage bricks and sets. Sadly the original boxes and instructions went long before my time (I’m only 24) but I would love to try and piece them together, well, as much as I can! I’ve come across some very interesting printed Lego bricks I’ve never seen before and I didn’t know if I could share a photo with you if you would be able to maybe tell me some of the set numbers at all. I know there’s a Fabuland set in here too but I just don’t have the vast Lego knowledge that you do. If you don’t have the time or purely just don’t want to that’s totally fine 👍🏼👍🏼 I look forward to your response. I’d also like to open this up to anyone else in the comments/RU-vid Lego community that might be able to help at all; I’d be very grateful. Many thanks, Daisy 🇬🇧

This seems to indicate why minifigures are yellow, because their brick-built ancestors were made from yellow bricks.

Yea - there were limited colors produced until the minifigure was released. Yellow was what they chose in this and maxi figure that predated minifigure so I guess it stuck until this millennium
