What he's doing is very wrong and he should be prosecuted for assault. With that said, if that homeless person was in his right mind though, he would beaten the you know what out of the guy with the airgun. Yes, it causes pain and some bleeding in the head shots, but I don't think we should over-estimate the potential of an attacker to keep attacking if they are determined. He's lucky the homeless guy didn't pull a knife and start attacking him with it. Bad situation for both individuals.

OK, BUT LET'S BE HONEST : If the guy on the ground was ... ME for example ( I am a French homeless, former instructor in knife fighting - 19 years ! - and since a motorcycle accident, I take heavy doses of MORPHINE every single days, no need to say that I don't feel pain at all, I had yet experienced Tear Gas, Taser ( Police model ) and even a broken arm... I was ALWAYS ABLE TO CONTINUE ON FIGHTING WITH BRUTAL AND EFFECTIVE FORCE ... ) So, if this guy on the ground was ME, After the first shot, I would had immediately run at the shooter and would have stabbed him very badly, ...perhaps worse .... So, I definitely think that only a 12 gauge Shotgun is really effective against a really dangerous guy. I am not a bad guy, but my both parents were Military and veterans from the French colonial wars ... they tough me everything they knew about close combat, and when my life is in danger, I fight like if I were on a battlefield ... with all kind of weapons. The BYRNA are, perhaps good to stop or get afraid a cool guy, teenagers ( some of them are far more effective than adults regarding fighting abilities ) or little dogs ... I am a security guard for real, also a bodyguard, and that's not self defense at all, just bulling non aggressive and defenseless people, he don't need the HDR at all, could do the same with a stick or anything really. I own HDR and HDP pisols, they are great fun and I confess I have a pre-load one at the side of the bed, cause in my country firearms are restricted and even police can't take them to house out of their jobs. But I also think that a 20+ joule shoot out of a modded HDP as dangerous it can be, still is not enough to actually incapacitate someone. He can submit due to pain and fear like those poor people from the video, but they also are capable to attack him or worse, put out a REAL gun. As for that, I also have a ''decorative'' melee thingy, the air gun is for scare the shit out of any intruder, it looks like a gun, it barks loud, its painfull... but keep in mind that, that could not be enough.

He wasn't in danger, and he didn't need to discharge the weapon, but let's be real. first yes, Being homeless is horrible, and we should help those in need. Everyone deserves a helping hand. BUT! being homless doesn't give you a right to squat wherever you want, and some of these people dont look like they're just on bad times. Mental issues and drug abuse makes some of these people unpredictable and dangerous. No one should have to be forced to have homless people squating near their homes and properties. If this guy had been having repeat offenders coming on the property ignoring his command to stay away i completely understand using non lethal force shots to assure they dont come back. Again, I disagree using such force to begin with and personal would try to be patient but if this became an on going issue now your effecting the residents, the locals, the landlord, the property value and probably this security guards job. Im sure if he didnt deal with this problem he would be fired and then what become homless too lmao.
