He has a long history of domestic violence and abuse. His children refuse to have contact with him. So too his siblings. This all is one huge red flag 🚩 I'd be interested to know if his service records in the military and law enforcement reflect any similar issues.

he's more than just a red flag. he's a tour of the factory that _makes_ the red flags. what a mess. the fact that he cried when a cop told him to cut it out doesn't make him more sympathetic to me.

That man is going to end up killing a woman. Notice how much he hates the women he's been with, but he is trying to hide it behind his calm, quiet voice: this one was a narcissist, this one was an adulterer (oh but I found that out with my controlling abusive behavior of placing recording devices in her home and so I heard "sounds" that made me think she was having an affair). Judge Boyd did the best she could with what was in front of her. I hope women do a background check before dating him.

This has nothing to do with PTSD. This has everything to do with power and control. It's not an accident that his chosen professions include 28 years military service and detention officer. Especially since (as I'm sure Judge Boyd knows), his background as a LEO makes him statistically MORE likely to commit domestic violence, not less as he's trying to imply. LEOs are trained in coercive control techniques as the most effective & efficient mode of problem solving, then given wide discretion to use those techniques as an integral part of their job. The culture of law enforcement also constantly reinforces an "us vs. them" mindset which further implants the view that power/dominance/control are properly in the domain of the, "good guys," i.e. the police. Mix all that together with an increased risk of substance abuse, toxic masculinity + a code of silence, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that the more narcissistic LEOs may end up allowing those techniques & the associated mindset to spill into their private lives.

He uses his "PTSD" as a means to validate his behavior. He uses his military service as a shield or disguise to avoid scrutiny of it. The fact that he was a cop puts him in the 40% bracket of offenders and a tool to escape accountability for it. The poor relationship with his children suggests he was likely heavy handed with them or traumatized them from what they saw. Planting recording devices suggests that he was a real nut job to live with. Has a history of abuse going back three separate partners which begs the question, how many more partners? how many more unreported instances? Yeah, time for jail. See how tough he is with hardened criminals for a change.

Panic attacks out of nowhere and extremely emotional responses to what would seem to a reasonable person (and even myself) to be minor issues. Emotions that just happen to you before you even know what's happening or where they're coming from. Like, "why does this verbal tick my boss does make me furious? I know PTSD is real but ever person that gets in trouble hollers PTSD now. When is it legitimate and when just being an excuse.
@MW-tu9nu
@MW-tu9nu 3 месяца назад
As someone with PTSD and who works with clients who have it, it is only legitimate if you cannot distinguish right from wrong or are having a psychotic episode (in psychosis) which is not very common at all. A veteran having a severe episode may believe they are in a war zone and see and hear things and hurt someone as a result. Very different. This man took deliberate steps and actions to stalk. Not the same at all!

3 years is no short sentence. But this guy needs to learn true respect of other's wishes. BTW, what does his ex being a manipulator have to do with him not staying away? I think he needs this.

If that's not a hyperbolic perspective, then perhaps you might benefit from learning about Americans from a wider selection of sources than court videos. There's a heavy selection bias to the samples presented.
