great vid dude! I have the E15hp2 right now with the G22 coming in soon and have so far reviewed the L12, F12, L22, and FVX12, your assessments about Rythmik are bang on with mine. I'd like to add the ported Rythmik subs are just as good, the servo tech fixes all the problems commonly found in ported subs, TLDR rythmik ported subs sound better than most other brands sealed subs, it's seriously crazy! Loving the white, keep rocking!
Congratulations! Sealed and servo that is great 👍 Rytmik is working with GR research and they are servo controlled open baffled that you can get with one, two and three 12". But open baffle (OB) will not load the room and hit you as a sealed one. So it is more for music than movies. I have two 18" OB but no servo, and I am so surprised that I don't feel it in the chest. When I know it is playing +16 dB at 20 Hz (and lower measured with REW).. Anyway enjoy! 👍🎶🎵
Yeah I have two f18s that I upgraded from the monolith 15s that were monster subs but the f18s outperform them and sound better even though they are sealed.
I've started with a pair of sealed L12s for a secondary gaming setup last year. I got a taste of how it can disappear in a setup, which is great for music, but still offer low distortion impact movie bass. I then added an F12SE in gloss white for my 2ch rig. I decided Rythmik was going to replace my reference subs in my main HT setups. Put in an order a few weeks ago. As I was waiting for my pair of F18s to be delivered this week, I came across a stunning deal on a used G25HP. Local pickup so I couldn't resist. It's only been set up for a few days now, but the performance for this trio so far has been exceptional.
You are partially right; throughout most the bass range sealed subwoofers are much cleaner, except around port tuning where the port contribution and limited excursion actually gives the ported subwoofer the advantage, even more so when it's ported low and the sealed subwoofer is at max excursion. That's why sealed subwoofers sound great in the musical range to most people. Saying that, servo gives yet another level of control of the driver so won't be surprised if it sounds amazing and clean throughout the entire bass range.
I was gonna go with one of these to replace my pb-4000, but found a killer deal on a barely used PSA S42 IPAL. Insane difference, glad I went with the dual opposing. The SVS was great, but this thing is just in a different league
I just ordered 2 Rythmic f18se’s in piano gloss black. Can’t wait you and sparechange helped me make up my mind. He had said these were the best he’d had even after having pb16’s. You saying you preferred the Rythmic over the svs sealed the deal. Along with I can fit 2 beside my Arendal 1723 thx towers with the Arendal center channel in the middle that sounds like a theater dream. This whole set up along with the Arendal monitors for side surrounds is replacing my svs ultra 5 channel and my pb16 Ultra. I’m ready for all the extra head room I’ll have instead of maxing out these ultras. Keep it up thanks bro.
@@Kpaceguy have you heard anything about the 8 inch Arendal 1723 THX towers and monitors? I ordered them but the piano gloss isn’t even able to be shipped my way until April of next year. I’m hoping that everything that I’ve heard about them is not all hype. Audioholics is a strong believer in them with how much sound quality and db’s they bring to the table at there price point along with their sound quality. Gene from Audioholics seems to be pretty reliable when it comes to recommendations. I’ve been told they are a pretty significant upgrade from svs ultras.
@@Kpaceguy One more quick question I’ll let you get back to your Saturday night. Is there any other five point bed layer system costing around $7500 that you would recommend me looking into? With the arendals still being four months out I have a minute to shop around.
I would like to see Rythmik include caps that match the different finishes offered to cover the grill holes for those who do not want to use the grills...or go magnetic.
Hey I’m about to order a pair of subs this week. Currently considering Svs pb 3000 pro, G22 or FV15hp. I returned my pb 2000 pro because I need a little more output. My main listen area is 17’ x 30’ but it opens up into large 25 x 25 room, total Sq ft around 1260. I’m not trying to over due it, the pb 2000 sounded great but I just need little more output.
Just got a pair of Rythmik L12s! Using a MiniDSP HD, umik-1, REW and MSO to get the most consistent bass across a wide seating area. Definitely best to get 2 subs if more than 1 person is going to be listening
I'm on the fence on getting two of these or buying two of gr research open baffle set up. Cool review thanks for sharing! Decisions decisions lol, it's lame you can't get any of these until February!
@@Kpaceguy yeah I definitely weird times we live in right now! I'll keep rocking my paradigm servo 15 for now. By the way you did a really good job on setting up your system it looks awesome!
ik Rythmik would excel in music and JTR for extreme violence, but which will do better for extremely violent metal music? Or just go with GSG Devastators?
I've owned (all duals) G25HP matte black, FV25HP, F18, SB16, Fathom F113, JTR RS1, JTR RS2, PB16, PB13, PB2000, PC2000...in the past 4 years. I have had JTR for the last year or so....few months with the RS1's now RS2's since April. Got some new speakers and wanted the best sound quality I could get with a footprint that worked for my new speaker setup. I will have G25HPSE's on friday of this week in piano gloss black to match my other speakers....They are tremendous for the money. One of the strongest sealed subs on the market. I went back because I really know how to dial Rythmik subs in and I love that they don't use a DSP and all changes happen in the analog domain. They are something special. The only reason I got rid of them before is because I really didn't care for the matte black finish, it didn't look premium enough for my taste. The white looks amazing, I hope the Piano gloss black is just as striking.
Could I get get some help?! I primarily want a sub for music. Which means I THINK I've ruled out an svs. All I have right now are two Martin Logan slm xl's run by a NAD D3045. The speakers are on my wall, mounted beside a The Frame tv. 20' depth of room, about 50' long (entryway, living, kitchen all in one), 10' ceiling. I think this G25 hp is a bit out of budget but I've been looking their F18. That said, I'm a bit concerned that I'm going to be missing components, or they won't pair well with the Martin Logans, or streaming via Chromecast won't be high def enough to make that level of sub worthwhile. Thoughts? Man thank you for the time!
for music and some movies without gaving to keep the remote in my hand to turn down crazy outbursts in action movies...what is better ? I was told to try rel s510 but wondering if rythmic has something better and cost less than rel s510?
@@Kpaceguy could you give me a quick explanation why, I’m building a home theater and I am a novice when it comes to this area of expertise and I’m working with a local home theater company and they are recommending (2) JL audio fathom f113 v2’s, I was thinking of going (4) f18’s?
Rythmik is still my go to for subs, but nobody mentions the fact that Velodyne is now back after being bought by a German company who knows how to run things. I think there's going to be a reassurance of high end Servo subs coming. Yamaha has been doing budget Servos for years and nobody talks about them either.
Nope, woulda been nice to try one in a showroom before the thing that happened 2 years ago happened. My E250P is dying I think, I was in my Theater room with everything shut off, and I heard a buzz which I eventually located to the E250P's plate amp. So now I shut it off. Actually, I set all my speakers to large and it's much better without even using the sub. The 570's play the bass much better. The only thing the sub does is LFE. I was concerned about overheating the receiver from playing the speakers full range, but as long as I run the air conditioning, and don't get too crazy, it's fine.
@Kpaceguy I am upgrading my speakers from emotiva to the arendals and looks like I'll be upgrading my 4 svs subs to 2 rythmik g25s also I would like my room to be in your next subscribers showcase what do I need to do and when is the next season coming
@mo veezy spring. Probably late March into may. I'm taking submissions now. People usually send through email but if the file is large, Facebook or Instagram is good too. Dropbox or send anywhere works well
I Don, t know, if I was you, I will chose the huge FV25, but your sub is smaller too 4 the same driver 😞... me, I,am more diy , and I have 10 DAYTON UM18 22. just need to make 5 dual ported cab😣😣😣😣😦😦😦😦
I have dual gsg mini Marty’s and I’m looking to upgrade to 4 sealed subs. I’m just tired of the one note boom, pursuing articulate dynamic bass now. And after having the mm’s I’ve discovered that I much prefer impactful dynamic bass 20hz and up rather than really low infrasonic bass.
I love Rhythmic’s servo subs, but they aren’t as fast as Rel subs. They integrate better and are more accurate, but just a tad too slow (only when compared to a Rel…those are too fast if there is such a thing). I would still buy this Rythmic!!!!
Interesting enough I replaced my 2 rel s812's for Rythmik g22's and found the same results. While the rel's may have been a tad more dynamic, they just didn't articulate as well nor integrate as well. I only use them for music.
Interesting, that's the first I've heard that Rythmik integrates better and more accurate than REL, I wonder if that depends on how fast your mains are, mine are fast maggies for 2 ch music and was considering a couple REL 1205's but am now reconsidering and maybe lean towards Rythmik. Thanks
I'm sure the Rhythmic sounds great with movies but have you ever listen to music with a 'high level input' subwoofer, if the answer is no and rel acoustics happen to be reading these words... well come on rel you know what you need to do.
