What Happened To Abby's Teacher? Fathering Autism Can't Ever Tell The Truth! 

Or Abby communicate this to her and the teacher dared to address that issue to the Showmasters (I hate to call them parents at this point)

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Like... why else would they pull Abbie out of her regular school & disrupt her ENTIRE normal everyday routine (something that is typically of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE for autistic people, who need a set routine in order to feel grounded & safe) to have her be schooled at home? The fact that they've never really satisfactorily addressed why they suddenly decided to homeschool Abbie, after she'd been going to regular day schools all her life, makes me think it was mainly because of declining viewership in their channel. Declining viewership means less money for them, so they probably figured that if they pulled Abbie out of school & hired a professional to come teach her every day at home, they could film her way more often & thus gain more RU-vid followers (or at least prevent their current followers from unsubscribing). I'm guessing that DID NOT sit well with Abbie's homeschool teacher, who was probably like, "Look, if you actually want me to be able to teach this child &, y'know, do the job you hired me to do, then you CANNOT interrupt her schooling to film her during school hours," & of course, I'm sure Asa & Priscilla did NOT like hearing that. It seems to me like this is the reason why the teacher finally got fed up & left. It really, really bothers me that Asa & Priscilla decided to suddenly pull Abbie out of her regular school & disrupt her entire normal everyday routine... I'm sure that must have been a catastrophic upset for Abbie. But since they never, ever really seem to put Abbie's wants & needs ahead of theirs anyway, it's sadly not very surprising to me at this point. The way they treat & exploit this poor child is positively heartbreaking to me. Her parents always seem to put their RU-vid channel (& all of their simp followers) first, & Abbie second. It's nauseating.

I believe they took her out of school since she no longer was eligible for the grant money to pay for the school. Why spend the $ when they can make $ by having a different narrative to record.

i think the idea behind the 1lb. weights is to get abbie to build strength in her arms.she only will lift them half way.

I'm from South Florida they have tons of indoor pools mainly because it's too hot.

My comment was more so showing disgust at the things they blow Abbies money on and the fact that if they really wanted to, they could run the heater for that pool. They can afford it. I’ve literally said the same thing like life skills should of been taught first in her life then the vocational stuff second. Abigail is almost 17 and still can’t pour a drink for herself and I understand she has a developmental delay and high functioning autism but look at the stuff she can do because she was taught it when she was young, it’s almost as if they gave up on teaching her life skills as she got older

I completely agree that Asa has unrealistic expectations. He is convinced that she is going to be ale to work outside the home and I just don’t see it.

They basically want a babysitter that will magically make abbie independent which isn't going to happen as they have unrealistic expectations.

@@28snowbell i agree with you on this statement , from what i have seen is also abbey isn't wanting to learn either . they also said in one of their videos that their public school district didn't think abbey was teachable . i have to agree with this. when they do try to teach her or her aba therapist is working with her she doesn't seem to respond to what they say

They think she will work at a job, no way she needs prompting on every thing, she has a lazy streak just like her parents and has a tendency to regress.

And that is why i hoast a discord and talk about struggles of raising children with autism and how we deal with things... somethings that helpqith my child may help with yours and some things that help with your child may help with mine but we never put our kids on video chat and we never post pictures... let the kids have their privacy!!!

Try suggesting MeRT therapy, my niece did MeRT therapy and she is starting to talk...maybe they are scared of what she will say..I know it is very expensive, but it seems they could sell his motorcycle or one of their many toys.

That teacher DEFINITELY quit, there's no doubt in my mind about that. It most certainly wasn't "mutual," as Asa & Priscilla seem to want to make it out to be. I mean, if this was a truly "mutual" decision that had been a month or so in the making, then why are they so caught off guard? Why are they so unprepared? Why haven't they found a replacement teacher yet? Why are they "in panic mode" (as Asa himself puts it) over something they claim to have known about for over a month? It's so obvious that they're lying through their teeth... they're pretty much the worst liars on all of planet earth. If their awkward body language didn't give it away, then Asa most certainly did by contradicting himself in just about every other sentence in this video. My guess is that the teacher got fed up with Asa constantly hovering over her & "correcting" every single move she made, & she probably did tell them a month or two ago that she did not feel comfortable teaching in that sort of environment anymore, but Asa & Priscilla just ignored this, rather than address these concerns or start looking for another teacher (no surprise there -- we all know how lazy they are)... then when she finally did quit, they were caught off guard because they were suddenly left without a teacher. That seems like the most plausible scenario here. It would explain why Asa & Priscilla both say that they saw this coming -- but at the same time, they were clearly unprepared, because they hadn't spent any time looking for a replacement teacher yet (which they should have done months ago, as soon as the teacher expressed a desire to leave). Nice move, guys. Real smart.

I’ve been teaching that to my autistic daughter for years. It’s only been heavily incorporated into her at school curriculum now that she’s hit middle school.

Not every SPED child can learn that. Children with considerable intellectual disabilities cannot understand abstract concepts. Asa is deff exploiting Abby but ppl think disabilities are one size fits all and they aren't.

@@zskt4205depending on cognitive function, you can have a talk/discussion about body autonomy on their intellectual level. Of course there are some that are extremely disabled and would never be able to understand, but even a student with an intellectual ability of a six year old is able to understand red light/green light body areas and to let their caretaker know if someone was doing or did “something” to them when they shouldn’t have. Find and meet the student where they’re at then go from there.

@Heather Z there is no way in hell a person could have that or any other conversation that requires reasoning, with Abbie and have her understand wtf you're talking about. She's 12-18 months old mentally. She sometimes doesn't even understand simple commands. Yes commands. This is how they talk to her. Like a person training a dog. Assa calls them "demands" which is also a good description of it.

I felt sorry for any teacher that was going to be in their home. They seem like a total mess and probably had her sign an NDA.

I also questioned Asa on that….I obviously had no business to give my opinion…suggested he give them time alone to get to know each other and perhaps let some trial and error take place….was told by Asa that was a waste of time! My bad!

Asa could not let the teacher do her job…..very uncomfortable situation for a teacher…..no surprise she left.

On the other perspective, no one other than me have any problems with Abbie showing herself b*ref0ot all the time, not even Abbie's family or any of their friends. I'm pretty much the only one disgusted by this. If I was in Asa or Cilla's place, I wouldn't allow her to go b*ref0ot anywhere regardless of how warm or cold the temperature of the respective day is, and certainly not on camera; instead, I would have explained to her that it's a very bad and offensive act that can stir up trouble with RU-vid for s*xµal content involving minors. I guarantee money is walking out the door. They are not there everyday and money walks out the door when the owner is not there.

Or just keep asking her and asking her to do it. Get on with the work that needs to be done…Abbie isn’t going to miraculously be able to do everything that the parents what her to do and to also be able to live on her own. She needs a vocational program a couple of times a week. She needs the social aspect of being with people her own age, learning along side them.

My understanding is he can't pay himself due to the way payments are set up. In addition the state requires that a teacher have an actual teaching certification.

When you hire a private teacher, their job is to teach what the parent wants or provides, disabled or non disabled. 5is isn’t public school, there is no state standard. They are hired to teach what the parent wants. Period.

One of best things we can do for Abby is not to watch their channel. Their views are decreasing and the $$$ from the views is the main reason they exploit her.

She didn't buy the Peloton. It was given to her by Slimelife. She rode it twice.

She didn’t “graduate” from anything. It was just basically a goodbye ceremony that the school did for her and an excuse for Cilla Sue and Asa to pretend that she had finished school. She could have attended there until she was 22 years old.
