Yesssss! I can relate to the comparing. I had to get off those fb “support” groups bc I couldn’t stand to see one more Karen telling me she’s 5 years out and only eats 4 bites of a meal. Other things I wish I knew: people will have no problem talking about your weight loss (good or bad), you don’t feel like u fit in with the skinny girls or big girls, everything gets jiggly, if you don’t eat right you will feel like death, and you will be in denial about your weight loss and continue trying to buy Clothing that is too large for you

I can absolutely relate to everything you've said. Especially judging others, I am ashamed to say I have become Fat Phobic since I've lost weight. It's not so much about them, it's about the fear of being fat again. I'm working on doing better and trying not to judge. 😔

As always this is another great video. I think that it is important that we who are 1 year or more post op continue to share our journey. The good, bad, and ugly!! You never know who it may help.

I love your videos. I have learned a great deal from your videos. Whether a person has had surgery or not your videos provide a lot of information.

GREAT video. I am almost seven months out and FEEL all this! I am struggling with my husband's eating habits. They are aweful and as much as I try not to criticize it is soooooooo hard I don't want him to have all these health problems the food is causing. He won't hear me. I want to just be fine with it. But I love him. I see other overweight people and feel sorry for them too knowing how it felt to feel like I was smothering couldn't move.

Al through mood in my mid 35 to 55, before I had gastric surgery, I was a crazy women about 7 days a month. My doc tried antidepressants. Age 56ish I was able to escape my best friend my antidepressant, anti anxiety . Hormones for me send on a rainbow of emotions from happiest to exhaustion and deepest depression . At 58 and 1.5 years post RNY very happy down to 170lbs from 255 lbs. goal 155 but relatively satisfied and could happily maintain this weight with satisfaction. So much healthier and happier in this stage of life. Best of luck to those who seek this lifestyle. Remember, don’t let your hormones rule your reality of emotions. Take a deep breath and adky

Remember to ask yourself if this depression is rational or feeling hormonal

Hey Kelsey. I just got vsg a little over a year ago. I have similar stats to you and relate to you in so many ways. I was wondering if you have any experience related to this.. i have 2 friends who are looking to do some type of biatric surgery but both of them are between 210-220lbs. It honestly annoys me so much that they would even consider the surgery for that weight because that’s how much I weigh a year later. I got it at around 330lbs… is it selfish of me to feel that way? TIA ❤️
