I helped a close friend transporting stuff from one apartment into a truck and then unloading it at another place, after she called at 1AM to ask me to come see her. I was confused but she seemed anxious so I just went on with it. Once most of the stuff was moved, she took pictures, sent them to someone and got a reply back. She was a bit relieved and we left to the other place. Halfway there, we stop, it's around 2:30-3AM at this point, I feel something is wrong with her but don't want to press it, there she calls someone, tells them "It's over, I took my stuff, the landlord has accepted my pictures already, if you trash it he'll know it." And then I hear the guy absolutely loosing it on the other end, threatening her, begging, chocking on his anger. She calmly replied "I'm recording it, I already separated everything from you, I'm blocking you, if you try anything I send this record to police, family qnd friends, including yours." And then blocked him after ending the call. We chatted while unloading her stuff at her new place, turns out she had been dating a narcissistic controlling arsehole, who tried to isolate her (hence why neither our friends nor I knew), had been emotionally abusive and had started physically threatening her. He had ended up catching her hair and pulling it in a fight while raising his fist at her. She had waited until he went on a guys trip to leave, didn't want him to figure it out before so she didn't plan anything with anyone. Her phone only had 5 saved numbers and she remembered I lived close by and our numbers had just 2 different digits so remembered it. It's been 4 years, the guy ended himself while drunk driving and she's ina happy healthy relationship now. So glad I answered her that night. On another note, love your voice and your stories!

A friend of mine disappeared out of my life. About 18 months later I got a call from her. She was desperate for a ride home and didn't know who else to call. I drove over an hour to pick her up. She looked in bad shape. Instead of wanting to go home, she wanted me to take her to a club. It was about 2 in the afternoon, and I didn't know of any clubs that were open. She said it wasn't open, but she was a friend of the owner. I drove the direction she pointed. Then she pulled out a bag of white powder and helped herself to some. I slammed on the brakes and told her to get out. I had gotten in trouble for stuff she had done before. I wanted no part in what she was doing. We argued. I told her to get out or I would flag down a police officer. She swore at me and left. Five or six years later, I came across her again. She apologized and thanked me for throwing her out of my car. She had called some other friends to give her a ride. They asked if she had powder. Instead of giving her a ride, they robbed her and took the bag of powder. She said that was when she realized how screwed up her life was. She got clean and stayed clean. We're not very close anymore, but we still see each other from time to time. I had felt guilty for turning my back on her, but I'm glad some good came of it.
My "no questions asked" was about money. My best friend of 30 something years came over to my house and said "I need $283 no questions asked". I gave him the money. I told him "I hope someday you will tell me what that was about". He never did. It was the very specific amount and no questions asked that made me wonder. I just can't imagine what was so bad he couldn't tell me about it. That was about 20 years ago.

Story #5) I don't see what part of this sexual encounter qualifies as Sexual Assault, regardless of gender. He was a willing participant in having sex with this woman, and he probably enjoyed whatever naughty scenario she created for him, right up until she left him alone, unsatisfied, and handcuffed to the bed. If this guy had injured more than just his pride, if he had been physically injured while trying to get free, then that would be a different story. And while I think that what this woman did was dick headed, and totally f-ed up(unless it was consensual of course), I don't think it qualifies as Sexual Assault. There may be a law covering what happened to this man, and it might qualify as some kind of assault, but why would it be a Sexual assault?
