I feel the short was showing how being stubborn to one single belief (either mindlessly following rules, or mindlessly having sex), both lead to the destruction of themselves. So I can't agree that it was mocking one side. I don't feel that's the focus. And being biased towards one side just goes to show that what's in this short is still happening. It's teaching us to understand both. That's just my opinion, feel free to share your thoughts.

I'm german and I remember when this came out. I was having like a german version of sunday School back then, being maybe 14 years old. Preparation for the evangelical confirmation. I remember watching that movie with the "class" and the priest and discussing it. of course as teenagers this was a wild ride that we found very funny and the priest didn't dislike it either. We discussed it and laughed and that was it. It defenitly felt different from a german perspective, to that of an american christian I assume. I have completly forgotten that this movie existed. I only now remembered that I have seen it, back when I was still a member of the church many many years ago. Thank you for reminding me.

My personal opinion is that I really liked the short. Its smooth. I love movies and shows like Fritz The Cat, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, Drawn Together, and other shows that relate to it. And some of the parts kinda offended me. But all in all I really liked it. Fun fact: The producer of Judas and jesus aka Olaf Encke also make another short called "King Of Fools". WARNING I would not recommend watching because YEAH WHY. But if you want it's on RU-vid. But like I said I wouldn't recommend watching it
