Been following you for a long time together with parotbros and you guys finally convinced me in buying my first TT last autumn. It has not been a sweet ride, but I like working on the car - it is well put together. Replaced the valve cover gasket, central lock, thermostat based on your guides. Replaced AC compressor and dryer. Refurbished the LCD display. Fixed the muffler connection. PCV hoses replacement, window switch fixing, door release spring fixings, mirror switch and heated seat switch replacement. Only current problems are with the cruise control and now som water is ending in the spare wheel well. All in all not been perfect, but some fun hours and not so costly (except the ac 😢). I would like a good code reader as my 10 year old one is really slow and not very informative. Keep up the good work and guides.

I would love it, my family are all useless with cars, so they rely on me. but I think someone else probably needs it more than me.

Having something like this would really help me keep my daily on the road myself

I think 💭 it would be very helpful as I’m dealing with different cars for a living, and it could help me make sure all my cars are 100% right before they go out to their new homes.

I bought my 2003 TT quattro convertible last August (2022). I was able to drive it for 2 weeks before landing in the shop and having to pay over $3,000 to get the GUPPY out. I was able to drive the GUPPY for about 4 months until it died on me in November. Had to have it flat bedded home and I've changed 4 out of 5 sensors that needed to be changed. The last one is the crankshaft sensor and watch videos on it, but I just can't wrap my mind around it. She will go into the shop next week with a new and honest shop. I needed to do my own work so as not to be ripped off like I was with the first shop. But would love to upgrade my code reader, especially one that is made for the GUPPY.

Never had a code reader and always relied on other people to bring their laptops along to meets to get the occasional scan done, so to win this would help keep the *cough* money pit *cough* on the road!

I'm teaching myself how to fix my own cars and my friends' cars starting with my own MK1 TT. The digital screen is busted on my instrument panel, so a code reader would make my life so much easier. I appreciate all of the videos you make, and you've already helped me fix so many things on my car. I already owe you a debt of gratitude.

Just bought a mk1 TT as a first time project car and the code reader will defiantly help me sort any issues I don’t know about. I will be following every episode, as I also have body work rust issues 👍🏻

That is some good level aof detail for a plug in reader! We clearly should of done this when we bought the TT Track Car and the Civic Track Car. Doh!

Ironically, I recently contacted Dom from the Parrott Bros asking his advise on buying a code reader for my birthday this Friday, and now this popped up. What a lovely birthday present it would be! Take it easy fella. Ps great channel with interesting content and facts.

Owning a MK1 TT has been my realistic dream for years now, ever since I saw a dark green one roaming the streets. Since I have basically watched all of your videos on how to service and repair this fine vehicle I would also like to apply this knowledge practically when that dream eventually becomes a reality (maybe as soon as this year if all goes well). A good code reader like this would help an aspiring DIY-mechanic on a budget like me more than I could probably imagine.

I would enjoy and use it daily. I have two TTs enough said.

Would be very useful to keep my TT running without fault. But mainly due to my other family car (Audi A6) breaking down on Friday with the wife and kids stranded, would have been usefull to diagnose the issue there and then!.......... It is currently sitting at the garage waiting for their diagnosis. The kids (2 in the back!?!) are currently driving around in the mk1 TT, bit of a squeeze! keep up the usual videos. Used your TT service video to service the TT last year very useful!

After finding your videos I’m now on the lookout for my first Audi TY MK1 - This would certainly help!

I should win because I am all the way off in Victoria Canada, and entirely reliant on your vids for support and this little gadget. My Audi TT Mark I is unusual. It was imported from Japan but is left handed. Audi sales here are slowly increasing but it is very rare to see a TT. Service is hard to find so do all by my lonesome. Its either this gadget or Scion FRS. Yeah I know.

You and the parrot bros influenced me to buy a TT and I did exactly that, buy one 2 days ago. Now the engine management light is on and I have nothing to diagnose it with. How frustrating but hey ho. 😂

Sorry Bryn didn't know a thing about you until after my wife bought a 54 plate roadster!... We'd travelled from Stoke on Trent to Gateshead to pick up drove 10 mins down the road and the engine management light came on!... Phoned guy immediately " oh don't worry just needs code resetting ran out of fuel???? Got home (fortunately) and looked TT on you Tube and up you came like a Phoenix!! ...My knight in a shiny TT paint code LY7W ( sorry just a little carried away) Had car checked at the garage and up came a list virtually as long as my forearm (they are like an Orangutans' - just saying) So O2 sensors changed airbag cleared water, oil ,Haldex.... away we go and ran beautifully for 2 years then Turbo puked oil out the exhaust🤮.... Back to your ace turbo exchange vid on a sunny beach car park and Yay after quite a while sourced and exchanged... Ready to get back on the road but a little nervous as it's been a few months now no MOT and just want to make sure I'm not going to get any 'nasties' when I connect her back up and start - did I mention I've changed shocks, drop links, bushes top and on lower arms on the front??... Do I need this reader YES do I deserve it??.... Possibly NO but I have just spent HOURS - nearly writing this up!! Anyway thanks Bryn - videos have been priceless!🦧🦧

I’ve been restoring my TT for the past 3 years, I’ve been following you videos which have been very educating. I think you should give this gadget to me because I’m an old codger and vagcom is too in depth for me to fully understand. This looks very simple to use and would suit my brain as being an old codger I find it difficult to understand new tech 👍👍🤞🤞

Hey Bryn, been a keen viewer for a while with an 02 TT that I have had to garage for a few years. I made the decision in the new year that I would get it back on the road, as soon as the weather allowed me to work on it during the evenings. I know it has an ABS fault along with an engine management issue. I would love the reader to be able to rectify and then pass on so someone could do the same. Love your videos and how you explain everything, keep posting

I have Launch C reader it's a great bi directional scan tool that's great for many vehicles

Id love this. Got an s3 8l that is always throwing up codes now that its gone past 220k. This will help me loads with that and the daily a4

I think I should win as I've only got vcds lite and it's really limited, can't reset or anything..My car is a constant source of faults and issues 😂 Been following and liking for years now, I even make sure I watch the dreaded ads all the way through, the one for this vid was 3 minutes long!! 😆👍

In need of one at the moment, apprentice tech so always short of cash ofc. Bought a mk1 for 2nd car couple months back and now i’ve got crash shut off and airbag module issues. Trying to pin them down hahaha could be handy :)

I could definitely put that to good use. I picked up a 2003 225 TT and waiting for springtime to get it running as a track car. We keep getting snow so have to wait until its warm enough to lay on the ground lol. In between snowstorms have been struggling to determine why it wont crank and the only reader I have is a cheap $25 one.. so definitely need something that can provide better detail..

Your videos have been a godsend for me, and yeah that reader is sweet, but I'm assuming postage to the U.S. isn't as cheap as the rest of Europe so I'll keep bothering my friend when them pesky yellow lights are trying to burn my face off. :-)

I've been using a basic OBD-11 reader with no success on accessing a fault on my Mk1 TT 3.2. Our currency exchange rate makes it so expensive to buy a unit that you've just reviewed. Audi in South Africa charges a bucket full of cash just to do a scan and then even more to rectify the problem! So the DIY guys are having a hard time trying to fix our own cars! Even if I'm not the lucky one getting this for free, can you maybe get the distributors of this reader to give your supporters a discount code as to enter when ordering the unit on line?

My laptop is ancient with vag com and battery’s dying. This would be the perfect solution for me Bryn

This would be great for me. I have vag-com which is great for my audi's. With this i wouldn't have the hassle of taking the laptop out to the car or if im away and have a fault i could keep this in the car at all times. Also when my friends/family have trouble with their none audi/vw cars and I try help them out, I only have a basic code reader and can't get into all their cars modules(ecu's). This would be great for helping as id have it with me in the car all the time.
