@@YukiPyro Remember Vince did hire Eric bischoff and Paul Heyman. It's beyond obvious AEW needs a wrestling guy who knows how to book running the show . At the very least , Shane knows the business. He grew up in it. Shane could be that guy. The shock value would create the necessary buzz for AEW. Like Shane showing up on a Nitro.

It's weird, I'd rather see TK take bumps and do no creative, and have Shane only do creative and never appear on screen. Honestly the real reason AEW doesn't need any McMahon is because all of them have a reason they can't or shouldn't be there. Steph is Triple H's wife, so she'd never do it while he's running WWE unless they bought out TK. Shane has overexposed himself, I never want to see him, at all, anywhere, anymore. Nor do I want to see his ideas. Linda... I just get the feeling she's sick of all of this and has wisely stayed far away from wrestling. Nobody should want Vince, the negatives outweigh the positives he could bring. Maybe, and I mean MAYBE, they could find something for Triple H's daughters to do, but even then, I wouldn't bother. They got Negative One if they want a legacy kid to do something. All I can say is thank goodness Sting retired before they started rumoring this crap. Wouldn't be a good look if Sting quietly asked for his release in protest.

@@TheSolomonster Well AEW need something Jason, I think literally anything would be better than what they are currently doing. I think people forget what Shane wanted to do back in the 00’s. Shane wanted to buy both UFC and ECW back in 2000, but Vince spent that money on the XFL at the time. Then Shane wanted to bring ECW back as an Online show back in 2006 to get around censorship issues, but because TV networks were interested in a revived ECW show it got taken out of Shane’s hands and into Vince’s.

There's no chance in hell Shane McMahon is signing with AEW. Just image if Shane work with TK, it's not going to work out. There's going to be creative differences. You think TK is going to listen to Shane's creative ideas. It's like TK wants his shows to be more wrestling, and Shane wants the shows to be more sports entertainment like the WWE. In one side: Shane gave us memorable moments like his match with Kurt, Showing up in WCW and the sick bumps he took. The other side: Some of the really worst ideas like the Monday Night Brawl comes from him. I still think it would create controversy and attention for a while to see a McMahon in AEW but seeing how they manage every opportunity they have I cant see it working in the long run UNLESS Tony realize how close to being under the company is.

He could be an on-screen authority figure. Neither Tony nor Christopher Daniels are fit for it. But, at the same time, does Tony want McMahon fingerprints on his company? My guess is, despite the attention any such hire would bring, the answer is probably not. If there is anything we’ve learned from Adam Copeland or Mercedes Mone, it’s that signing a big name doesn’t earn you better ratings or tickets sales. There are a lot of problems in AEW that Shane can’t fix.

I know the possible cons,and how it could end up being tiresome, but a Civil War storyline would get me interested to check out AEW TV again. Shane McMahon was great when he limited himself to getting his ass kicked and taking insane bumps. He became intolerable when he got it into his head that he was some strong babyface. He buried Kane by Kane looking like Wile E. Coyote and barely beating him during their feud. He buried Legacy when they had to sell his slow-motion "MMA punches" that barely made any contact. He buried Miz when he got the upper hand on him and beat the shit out of him during nearly every interaction leading up to their WrestleMania match (that Shane won too). He's awful. His striking is clumsy and pathetic looking.

I personally believe that Shane Royal Rumble story is BS. I think Shane found out about his father’s infidelities and Vince fires him to cover up his own ass. Isn’t it funny that only 6 months later is when the Hush money stuff came out after that? Just saying.
