“Take control of your own life” best advice ever! Wish I would have gotten than advice earlier when I had really low self esteem. I was waiting for someone to help and save me but I needed to do it for myself.
Some of us have very low self-esteem because we were abused and traumatized as children. The kind of low self-esteem caused by that takes more time and work to heal and bring up and is not just a matter of fake it till you make it.

Yep. As soon as I put my foot down on my ex-fiancee's selfish/abusive/narcissistic behavior towards me, he just decided to leave as soon as he got a job promotion. He couldn't deal with a two-way street in a relationship, nor swallowing his pride and apologizing to me for all the mistreatment I decided I was not going to put up with anymore. So the trash eventually just took itself out. THANK GOD.

She's harsh but I'd rather take harsh advice from another woman any day. Some of us have gone through extremely traumatic experiences starting from childhood so I don't think it's anything wrong with someone admitting they are insecure. Sometimes low self esteem is deeply rooted from childhood experiences/ treatment from abusive caregivers and not so much all about a persons attractiveness level. Understand that our brains are like a computer, and whatever program (treatment& experience since birth) it is given will create the whole belief system and paradigm of that person’s life.. (good treatment= positive belief system& life trajectory , bad treatment= negative beliefs& obviously bad life outcomes). Just understand we have the ability to change our belief systems to positive and we can give ourselves the worthiness, love, value, acceptance to ourselves! No matter what upbringing! Just change your life’s paradigm!

OutThere2017 All so true. I try to avoid the energy draining vampires at all cost or keep contact to the bare minimum because my peace of mind is very important to me, if I feel drained or anxious after spending time with someone, that's my clue to cut them off asap!

Hey some of you ladies are a little cruel to blanket state low esteem or crying is weak or pathetic there are times when crying is from trauma especially severe dangerous situations and well the person /s can heal and not cry. Point is its more balanced to step back and consider why a person is appearing "pathetic & weak" maybe they're recovering from shock or have a blood imbalance or maybe they are just spoiled but there's reasons. Just saying consider why first because you never know. ☺
fiona day + I thought the same thing. I do believe it's good to be strong, but sometimes it gets taken overboard, to the point it comes off as heartless. Everybody's different and were all trying to deal with life as best we can.
fiona day My dear, let me try to explain from another point of view.... As the survivor of severe childhood abuse, rape, death of a child, and more traumas....I’ve cried until my face was swollen and couldn’t leave my home for weeks at a time. I get it! What Shera and the other women are suggesting is: 1. Keep these traumas to ourselves/in private (cry all you want when you’re alone). 2. When others know your traumas and weaknesses they can manipulate you too easily! (It happened to me by a “man” I trusted! He threw it all in my face!) 3. If you’re playing the game to win a date/mate/sugar daddy/husband etc...you have to be strong! (Weak attracts weak!) It’s not about being a robot with no feelings. It’s about maintaining your dignity and integrity. *NOT* playing the victim and seeking pity. If a man is attracted to you from your traumas, he’s not healthy! There is nothing to gain from exposing our weaknesses or traumas to *anyone*, except for a licensed professional. Internally, use your traumas to push you towards your goals. Hope this helps! 🤗
that's a deep situation but on a lighter situation crying can help. Once I had a flat tire on the highway with one of my daughters and I didn't even have a phone...single mom going through it...I told my daughter don't ever let your life get to this point then I told her watch this. I cried and I made sure people passing by could see my motions hands over my eyes looking up..and of course...fast.a man saw me and rescued. I had no choice...but sharing deep pains with some men can seriously back fire unfortunately. ..use the tears but protect your heart.
Mari Mari well put! I think it could be painful to hear and taken the wrong way because trauma and low self esteem is very real. It’s up to YOU how you handle it and present yourself to the world in order to get what you want. It can be hard to swallow that #1 people WILL use your weakness against you and #2 that the world doesn’t want to deal with your issues. But it’s very true. Put yourself first always and you will come to realize how to handle your issues and present yourself to the world so it benefits YOU.
Honestly if you are so beat down by life you shouldn’t be even watching videos like this bc you shouldn’t be pursuing a relationship when you have a low vibration. I’m speaking from experience. Get therapy and work through those issues before you date.

I will say I am objectively ugly. Never had any affection physical especially it's more about a valid need to feel safe. I will say people with low self esteem just cannot validate their needs. Even basic needs. This gets in the way.
