Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. And here I discuss my own personal experience living with narcissistic personality disorder. Including the symptoms and behaviors associated with this disorder, as well as how it has affected my life. I also share some of my coping strategies and how I have been able to manage the disorder, along with helping you understanding your loved ones and their behaviors that may seem almost incomprehensible and potentially hurtful. Hopefully, my channel will provide insight into what it's like to live with narcissistic personality disorder, as well as what it's like for your loved ones. Thank you for watching!

I'm a therapist and your vids are gold for understanding narcissism and helping me be a better professional. Thank you! None of us humans really know what were doing, keep at it, step by step is more than fine.🐾🐾

This is probably the most educational video on how someone with NPD genuinely thinks and feels. Thank you. Your content is truly unique and your real-life experiences related honestly just as they happened produce more useful information about the details of NPD than any other format I have explored thus far. Thank you again...

Being this vulnerable is hard but shows a lot of maturity and growth! You're getting there, keep on going!

you sound JUST like my husband. separated for 11 months and two weeks now. I love him to the end. The thing that is missing is Christ. we don't know it but its true. Only Christ can heal all that mess that the enemy has come to destroy in you. Satan is the author of confusion, fear, hate, judgement, anxiety, insecurity. Christ is the author of joy, peace, all things good. I will pray for you. I pray for my husband too. You're a precious human being, in the love of Christ, I will pray for you that the Lord would cause you to ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

My heart absolutely breaks watching this video. I’m so sorry you feel this way. I loved my last girlfriend so much and it pains me to know this is what she goes through. God I love her so much and I wish I could have helped her.

you provoke what you fear: abandonment
@lenavoyles526
“If I showed people the real me off the bat, then they wouldn’t even be around to begin with.” - That’s it, right there - the crux of the issue. There’s such a deep distrust of others to respond to your vulnerability with care that you never give them the chance. You don’t realize that some people will be accepting and caring and some won’t and you need to do something to figure out which of those categories a person fits into.
@sdeb3333
Let me reiterate. Being vulnerable requires true strength. Being messy was not your choice. But the way you chose to deal with it is commendable. Let me tell you something: I have been a victim of narcissistic abuse. And I am so proud of you. I just saw him in you. I bet if people who have been victimized in relationship with you see this, they too will somewhere be deeply proud of you whether or not they admit it.

From a person w/BPD with narcissistic traits - you have to learn to NOT care what other ppl think of you and how they judge you. FEEL your shame when you get triggered and make a pause before you react with a defense mechanism. It took me about a year to relearn the shame - attack response. Accept ALL of you even the parts you hate and slowly work with a therapist and self help resources to unlearn those things.

I think this takes amazing strength to make these videos… and just exposing yourself to the world. Being aware is one thing, sharing that awareness is growth. And life is not about relating to others, it’s about the relationship we have with ourselves. In spite of childhood abuse, neglect and trauma we somehow find the strength to look at the scars, accepting them and then sharing them. They heal once they are shared. You’ll see that people appreciate authenticity more than perfection.

i wish i'd had an ounce of the self awareness you have when i was your age, i'd be in a much better place now (staring down 40). i respect you a lot for being so honest & putting yourself out there- most people don't have the balls to, and this is extremely helpful to a lot of us (and hopefully for you as well!) kudos 💙

I feel all these things happened with the discard with my ex. He devalued, dumped, and discarded me. But at that point he wasn't giving me anything I needed not even himself so I was all too willing to accept it, because he was already not there for months.
@iamaliveyoucantstopnow
Personality disordered folks don't fear abandonment - abandonment is familiar!!! They fear true closeness and intimacy!!!

Kudos to you for being so vulnerable. I can see how painful it is. You definitely remind me a lot of my ex-friend, and it makes me fucking sad because I could see when he was looking at me all paranoid and would kind of hurdle passive aggressive comments my way because he was suspicious of me.

Oh sweetheart, your painfully honest and open videos are helping so many folks who are going through what you are. You’re also helping folks learn to talk about it. Keep plugging along. 😊

Being a self-aware narcissist is one hell of a prison, and I feel like the ending of relationships is one of the worst punishments. Everything in this video, every word and outburst and sullen pause, resonates.
