@@danielosmon the thing is I’ve been doing all of that. I feel accomplished and I’m proud of the improvements I’ve made mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I’ve even started talking to three different girls but had to cut them off because the feelings I have for my ex are stronger than ever. The "tools" are useless if the woman doesn't want to try. No contact is the only option in this scenario.

If your good woman(and mine was/is a very good and quality woman) wants to breakup you have no choice but to respect it - her mind was made typically months ago, so to her any further conversation is further digging your own grave. She has changed the power dynamics by dumping you, so now if you want to repair and talk it looks needy and she’ll further lose respect for your attempts, especially as you didn’t show this desperation during your partnership. In my experience, talking and trying to resolve the issues after the break are useless in terms of re-gaining her. Trust has gone, you probably didn’t see it slipping away along with her attraction for you, but at the breaking point you will not get any traction, immediately post breakup. What DOES have a positive effect is taking accountability for your part in the relationship failing as soon as you can, usually through journalling and a thorough reflection on the dynamics. Along with that you need to empathise with her feelings and experience, validate her feelings and experiences - typically the guy has been defensive and denied her the respect of expressing her concerns. Doing these things with her with honesty and care will help you regain respect in her eyes and mind. Them all you can do is go NC, giver her space, let her internalise and reflect on the relationship and let her live life without you in it. NC is obviously also important for the dumpee to heal without the constant reminder of their ex dipping back into their life and resetting the pain clock again! NC isn’t a game, it’s honouring the breakup that you didn’t want and it’s giving them what they wanted - you being detached from their life. Women will try keep you close to use you to sooth their pain… until they find another man to distract them, then you won’t hear from them. In my opinion a good woman with a good heart will stay and directly address the issues and work through the issues in the relationship, if they see value in their partner to do so. But, not all women have a full “tool box” as you say. My ex was a very good woman, but she had a hard time expressing her concerns and they built up, afraid of perceived conflict, whereas I wanted her to come to me with those concerns. I’m currently trying to rebuild trust and emotional connect to the point where we can do a restart and learn from the mistakes.

thebransnipeD thanks man, I had a few weeks post break talking with her months ago. Very sporadic, never blew up the phone or any of that. Just friendly chats. She wanted to be “friends” but I said I can’t as I need to heal. Her idea of friends seemed to be me ringing her and her never contacting me. I moved away from the area end of Jan and haven’t contacted since. We were still friends on social media. It was a very drama free breakup and zero bad words said in my part. I did make the mistake of looking up her Facebook from time to time. She kept posting pointed memes targeted at me, mainly having a dig that it’s mean and game playing to ignore someone. Meanwhile I’ve just got in with life. Been posting positive things from time to time on social media, what I’m doing. I’ve not showed any negativity online, just confidence and positivity. Basically like nothing has happened. A big birthday came for her and I didn’t contact her as knew it would send me back to pain of the break up day. Just wished her well in my head instead. Well that seemed to make her madder and more memes started. Fast forward to Easter and she’s just unfirended me and blocked me on everything. Wt actual fuck? Weird, month 5 I’m getting on with things, haven’t contacted her, not troubled her, nothing. And she’s still doing things to me. A counsellor I’m seeing says she’s acting to get a reaction and is angry. She wants me to contact her, just to give her validation. Her actions just made me realise how unsafe it would be to reach out anyway. She’s developed a massive attitude towards me. I deserve more, I was dumped, was very gracious about it and my crime was merely to go no contact. That right I’m allowed to do to move on. And anyone who ever cared or treated someone with respect would acknowledge that aspect of their choice to end a rele. In my mind if anyone should do the contacting it’s the person who tore up the relationship. Not the person dumped. I harbour no ill towards her, I still view her just as fondly. She’s waging this little war herself and I’ve just got to carry on. She’s a stubborn bastard though from a stubborn self absorbed family and can just see her sitting for years festering and changing the narrative to herself that I’m some sort of pariah because I dared to try and move on after she kicked me to the kerb. I couldn’t see her overcoming the mountain of pride after this now to reach out. She’s amped it up too much. For my part, I’m not reacting in anyway to this latest attempt to cause hurt, just carrying on with my grind, it’s tough as I’m dealing with serious pain and things like this don’t help, but I know I deserve better treatment. If she were to ever reach out with humility that’s another story.

@Nick Fire i did most of the messing up with my most recent ex and i'd say around 3-4 months was the longest no contact. i'm actually in a no contact phase now. shes talked to me when im aroubd but has not directly reached out. it helps that i am friends with her family though. no contact seems to work well.

your actions are what a woman sees and listens to not your words. Your actions are what she went off of. The good thing is if you just dont beg for her back, and dont reach out in any way she will eventually reach out. When she does if you want her back just be charming playful and dont bring up anything from the past. Make sure you're the one who ends the conversation first. I would also ask her after you've laid the ground work and been that funny teasing charming person, ask her when she is free to get together. If she gives you some lame excuse, tell her no worries, that you are lovers and not friends and that you desire to be intimate whether the relationship is titled or not. They will be comparing you to the other person if every sense. Depending on how and why you broke up, and what areas the rebound doesnt measure up depends on how long no contact will last. It may take weeks, months and maybe even years, but if you didnt completely bomb the relationship they will come checking in at some point. I know you had a great connection, great chemistry sex etc. That being said even if you truly want the person back. Tell yourself its completely over and move on. Yes it hurts but the faster you can just accept that if someone values you they will be in your life. Work on the areas you fell short on and know that the right person will never let you go.

Also nobody is “ignoring” anybody. At least with my advice. I tell my Audience to position themselves from a place of strength. If an ex reaches out I’ve never said to ignore them. Just set a date.
