Even though this video makes a lot of sense, it's too emotionally exhausting for me. I was the one who dropped my ex for good reasons. I hate this hot and cold thing. It's obvious that he's not willing to do the work that it requires to maintain and advance a long distance relationship. This is exhausting. He has put me through too much. I don't want this anymore. I feel like we love each other and we still have an emotional connection and deep feelings for one another but I don't want this at this time in my life. I don't do well with drama.

My ex that I still live with has been giving me mixed messages for a while. 2 weeks ago, he said that he wanted to live his life with me. He wanted to do lots of things, go out, visit new places etc. Then, the other day, he said that it was over. We had been out for drinks, he said he really enjoyed it and we need to do this at least once a month. I think it's because we had an argument, and I mentioned the woman he had an affair with.

How can I build an emotional connection when there is alot of drama in his life, and we just spend time talking about that? He is currently in a relationship with the woman he cheated on me with, but that's not the drama. He's been in this relationship for months! But still sees me regularly!

Dear clay what you think about this situation ? my ex and i broke up 7 month ago she left me for been sure i cheated on her i tried 3 times to talk to her and she didnt even tried to listen to me 4 weeks ago i met her again and we talked she was kinda nice to me and still cold for the cheating part. we walk together and kept talking then she invited me to her place and i kissed her after asking her permeation ? she replayed yes. 2 days later she called me to tell me theres no way we get together and she just want to me make sure i know this . i didnt panic but i was hurt and answered i know and even though i still working on my self and i dont think i can be with you either way ( "i am in control" ). "she told me even if i will die alone i will never get back to you" - you probably will say now "ouch" . then i saw her again that week 3 days later she was really upset had very bad day and i tired to say hello all i got was really cold from her . but i little bit pushed her ( not physically) and we talked and she shared why she like this . and again i got into her place and we talked . ( we had hurt and good talk in the same time ) the next week she told me last time we talk she forgot something at my place so i took it and putted it her mail box with little note says " i didn't forget had hard week hope things with you are better" . and little chocolate that say happiness . now this happen this week . she called me the same day to thanks me and we had nice chat for 10 mins . then 2 days later i walked to the park where i am doing my sports ( 1 thing to make me different) she saw me and came to talk with me we been 4.5 hours tougher. we really enjoyed each other time. she told me some one told her this " i will never meet agirl like her but she will never find a guy who will lover her more then i am " i didnt say anything just smiled . and she even said this ( this part i am afraid of but as you said it could be only BS ) she said i finally feel we closed the circle between us . she meant that we didnt talk and now it feels ok to talk with each other. she still say what shame we cant be together for the reason she cant trust . but in the same time she say people told me never say never , she still hugs me if i hugs her ( i need to make the move) she do hugs me with lot of petition . she offer me to make food for me and other stuff . yesterday i saw her again we talked and it felt like friends but i didnt feel any heat or cold more like "ok" . we did end up again in her place she again offered to make me food and all i feel like i making progress ( from not talking to each other to the point she invites me in ) . i know it will not happen in a day ( getting back ) i know it will take time i know she got feelings for me if not she will not do all this stuff and more she will not let me touch her and hug her . she even ended our last words we will talk again next time we meet, hope you can reapply me soon best regards edi

How long does the wall of resistance last? My ex has broken up with me 3 times in two years. And cut complete contact and then months later he contacts me. He’s done that before and gave me mixed signals. We’re on 3 months of no contact and it’s really hard.

Hi Clay. My Ex said he doesn't have will power to do all fixing up relationship stuff. He said we are not compatible means no future between us. He agreed with all things I explained, agreed about anything which was wrong in our relationship. but those didnt change his mind to keep broken up with me. I tried to do active no contact, he responds me good in chat, he said I'm above friend but not his kind of person for kinda bare bones or some sort. I'm tired. he builds defenses. I tried to build the emotional connection, but I think I need to figured out to fix my emotional connection with myself first. I hope everything will be better. Hello Clay! My ex broke up with me a couple of months ago, we recently started texting again and we met up as well, i felt like we had some good connections. The thing is, he told me a couple of times that he doesnt know if we're ever gonna get back to how we were before but he wants us to at least be friends, and he always emphasizes on the "at least" as if that's the minimum he wants to be.
