9. Rebound Relationships (My ex is in a rebound!) 

I really like the idea that one's ex was so negatively affected by the breakup, that the had to enter a rebound relationship to be able to get comfort. That does make you realize how much you/the relationship meant to them.

For 6 months, (since my ex left me) I have been listening to dating coaches and Break up brads and shit, and let me tell you.....ALL of this time, I wish I had been listening to you. In 2 days, you have changed the way I think about this situation THAT quickly...thank you Rory..you're amazing...

Time is important but irrelevant if the person hasn't done the work of healing from their previous relationship. I've known people who have broken up, been single for over a year and still haven't gotten over their ex when they decide to get into a new relationship. One might think that because their past relationship ended over a year ago they would be ready but they're not if they haven't done the work.

Okay, well I think it would be a rebound. But I'm not sure. I believe she met or was talking to the guy before we broke up. Like he was in the wings for a week or two.
