I just have a sinking feeling that the fight will consist of Usyk desperately trying to make a fight out of a wrestling match while the ref falls into a financially induced coma.

I am worried that Usyk won't get a fair shake in this fight, due to how they keep trying to push the Joshua-Fury fight. But what these promoters and everyone involved in making these fights should understand is that they can still make Joshua-Fury even if Fury loses to Usyk. That would still be a HUGE fight. So, hopefully, they don't take away from Usyk potentially becoming a LEGENDARY fighter and one of the greatest talents we have ever seen and allow him to win if he deserves it.

I think it's gonna be difficult for Usyk, but i'm really pulling for him. He's an incredible talent, not that Fury isn't, but I'd like to see the smaller and more technical man come out on top.

Turki is the man that holds the purse strings and is a fan of Fury,the promotion for a Fury v AJ is easy to hype up,especially with Fury's form lacklustre and AJ somewhat rejuvenated. Few reasons why he will. Saudi is rebranding boxing and fights happen quickly and fairly being a big part of that. Also, even if Usyk wins the Fury AJ scrap is still huge. They would both be former champs and it would be a more even fight if anything.

Daniel tries to land a low blow. He was warned by the ref and ordered to aim higher. He ignored the refs orders and kept hitting low… he did this because AJ was allowed to get away with a similar punch his second fight which AJ fought much diryer then the first fight. Fortunatelly either the raf cought AJ fouling or Usyk was able to get away with the colarties AJ was trying (single and double handed).

In my opinion Usyk needs a stoppage to win. If it's a close fight, it will either be a draw or a decision for Fury.

The difference between Fury and Joshua is... Fury fights to the level of his opponents... meaning, he gets better or worse depending on who his opponent is... also he can go beyond his limits during a fight if he finds that the level he is fighting at is not enough... like a DBZ fighter going into a different transformation ie SSJ1 SSJ2 etc... While Joshua is a traditional fighter... if he don't train good... he will not be able to be competitive... and he can't rise out of his limits during the fight...

The judges will be fair in the first fight for sure as the loser has a rematch clause, any corruption is much more likely in the rematch later in the year. Fury Usyk might be a trilogy.

It has already pretty much been said by Fury and the Saudi's that Usyk needs to KO him, he wont get a decision. I think with an honest decision Usyk wins almost every time. Fury will need luck to beat Usyk who is a superior boxer.

I am unmoved by suspicions that there's a thumb on the scale in favour of Tyson Fury. I think it will be fairly refereed and judged. I also think Oleksandr Usyk will win. He is the first opponent to have a boxing IQ like Tyson Fury and he is always well prepared. But I'm no Nostradamus, so there's that...

Last thing. Why should AJ get a third fight against Usyk after Usyk beat him two times back to back convincingly. Klichko didn’t get a remach despite having a remach clause with Fury who was 27 and despite fury being cought using nandrolone against a 40 year old reigning Champion Klichko. Shoulf AJ be allowed to fight as many times as he needs to beat Usyk? If Fury allowed to have every possible unfair advantage because he is „special”?

If they rob Usyk and Fury wins undisputed then he will retire and never shut up about it. He won’t face AJ, he will say “I beat the guy who beat AJ twice, so why would I fight him? The concerns are fully validated that Oleksandr Usyk won't get a fair gloveshake in this fight, due to how they keep trying to push the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight. It is not with-out reasons there are also concerns for not only the judges judgments but also the ring referee = The 3rd man in the ring how he will operate his job at upholding the rules as that will be instrumental important. Fury is a well known fighter to bend the rules and use some ugly tactics and the referees have shown poor job in preventing these tactics of Fury. Referees like Joe Cortez & Mills Lane if they had been around would have assured the audience of tough referees. But back to the Joshua-Fury deal. What these promoters and everyone involved in making these fights should understand is that they can still make Joshua-Fury happen even if Fury loses to Usyk. That would still be a HUGE fight that evreyone wants to see. Both men can't retire from boxing with-out ever have fought each-other as they are fierce era rivals.

I think there's a huge misconception about the Wallin fight. Fury performed extremely well as he completely outboxed Wallin while suffering one of the worst cuts. It's like if Tszyu had dominated Fundora despite the massive cut. Therefore, the Wallin fight was one of Fury's best performance...

Since he began fighting on the world title level, pretty much all of Usyk’s fights have been in enemy territory. Particularly Braidis, Gassiev, and Joshua which were all decision victories.

I think Usyk may get multiple knockdowns over Fury. Not heavy knockdowns, but shots that stun and catch Fury off guard. We’ve seen it doesn’t take much to put Fury down, and Usyk is fast and so accurate I think he will catch Fury a lot with those shots you don’t see coming.

I could understand the Holyfield vs Lewis draw. When Lewis won rounds, he won big. When Holyfield won rounds, he barely won. But boxing is scored round by round and people seem to forget that.

The fact is that fury is a horrible matchup for usyk. His hands are just as fast, he throws combos which is a lost art in today’s HW division. And he’s simply massive which is a problem for usyk. Styles - and bodies - make fights. It’ll be an ugly fight if Tyson has anything to say about it. But unless fury shows up looking like Andy Ruiz, I don’t see how usyk wins.

Why is Fury the „A side”. What is an „A side” and what criteria and who determines who is the „A side”. It’s arguably that Usyk has more fans. He has 4 out of 5 belts and he has a spotles boxing reputation. If belts don’t determine boxing value than why should boxers want to even bother winning them. In my book if there are 5 belts or 4 depending on what belts you recognise the purse should be split acordingly. Furys wirth 1/5 or 1/4 of overall boxing fight value or 20% or 25% of the purse. If a boxer wants more value he should try to win more belts. That said i think that a fight between teo belt holders should be 60/40 split for the Winner. This is the fairest split. A one belt Champion demanding 70% of the purse irrespective of the result from a 3 (4) belt holder is insane.

I'll concede that Fury gets that "A-side treatment", but... I think Turki doesn't really care because he knows that win or lose, Fury is retiring after this fight. If he wins, he has all the belts, has done it all, and just beat the guy who beat the guy. At least that's what he'll say as he wafts off into the sunset. And if Fury loses, he isn't going to want to go on that downward spiral of losing key fights, then becoming a gatekeeper, then becoming they guy they feed to hot young prospects to pad *their* resumes.

I do lean towards Usyk dominating the fight winning 8/9 rounds and Fury getting the decision. Money, like in all walks of life, politics, economics and sports rules, which means the Fury v AJ fight is just too big not to influence the outcome of Usyk v Fury. Good luck to Usyk.

What's up with the delusion in the comments about Usyk stopping fury? Are you guys high? He couldn't stop AJ who has a glass chin and he's gonna stop the toughest chin in current boxing? This fight has 3 possible outcomes: fury points, usyk points or a draw. Usyk is too though and skilled to be ko, as is Tyson. It can only be a close fight. Fury has more tools available, but usyk is one in a generation talent. It's a really even fight.

Good point here. I kind of favored Usyk. this of course depends on the judges. First I felt that because what I saw as Fury's really bad behavior, and Usyk being frojm Ukraine, I thought that if the rounds were close, they would go to Usyk. We will see.

Not seeing anyone mentioning the Parker v AJ fight. That ref was criminal, went to split them up anytime parker got close. IN one exchange near the end he had a shocker and actually stopped aj landing some clean punched, was blatent fixed though.

I'm not too worried about the judging but more about the Referee and how much leeway they give to Fury laying his weight down and weight-shoving Uysk. Also watching him smashing wrists into eardrums or elbows 'accidentally on purpose'. The Referee doesn't need to be super strict interfering in every exchange BUT they have to have some degree of strictness or Fury turns it into a MMA/weighlifting battle.

I am shocked that Usyk got the nod. You could make a strong argument for a draw, or an extremely narrow margin win for either fighter. Which makes Usyk's win even more shocking.
