1987 video, Marek Szufa is flying SZD-21 Kobuz 3, representing Poland during 1987 Glider Aerobatic World Championships in Bielsko-Biala. Jerzy Makula (7 times world champion), Krzysztof Wyskiel, Andrzej Tomkowicz and Józef Solski are also on this video.

Andrzej Tomkowicz parachuted from Kobuz when the wings failed during training flight in 1989. Krzysztof Wyskiel was killed when the wings failed in 1991 at the world glider aerobatic championships at Hockenheim in Germany . Sad that the Kobuz gliders are not flying aerobatics anymore. Thanks for sharing rare footage of one flying aerobatics :-)

Well, there's a reason, as you know. I was there when Krzysztof Wyskiel's plane dissolved on the last figure two years later, in Hockenheim. :-( And yes, it was partly a maintenance issue, but Andrzej Tomkowicz had had plenty bad experiences with the Kobuz, too, except he was always able to bail. P.S. I realize that all that had been mentioned in the comments above. Ooops. Plane-spotting: Ludwig Fuß' Lo-100; Mü-28 landing in the background... and it might - just might - be my dad in there. Does anyone spot a mustache on the pilot?

@waltergiordani thank you for nice comment. You have fantastic videos flying DG400 over beautiful mountains of northern Italy. I would like to find this area on GoogleEarth. Where is it exactly? Quality is superb. What camera were you using?
