honda41680 honda41680 Well it's all about fine tuning the set up, to unleash the speed. Since you asked I'll give away some of the secrets. I have flaps set to negative when they are in the up position and also the ailerons are in a negative position. This gives the wings reflex that intern reduces induced drag. Gap sealing around the circumference of the EDF so no air is able to pass around the outside of housing. This maximises RAM air pressure on the fan, thus unloading the motor and allowing it to spin the fan even faster. This aircraft also has a custom made tailpipe, so to also reduce aerodynamic drag. Lastly it's about how you fly! It's all about energy management so to maximise performance and push it to absolute limit.

Oran Vertrees More accurate than GPS! Especially when you're flying down lines, such as in dives! We've had two Stinger 90's with identical set up's using these airspeed senses flying at the same time in formation logging exactly the same speed. I understand that obviously elevation of your field and the ambient air temperature will change the sensors readings from day to day, but at sea level elevations the true airspeed indication (TAS) from the indicated airspeed (IAS) would be only plus or minus 3 km/hr at maximum.

phase 3 F16 foamy on a 6s with a 12blade 60mm EDF with carboniferous rod reinforced wings can go just as fast as this one. for way less..so its impressive but your unlimited budget idea is shit.. i built my phase 3 under $300.

No doubt there is faster jets in the world. We also have spent time hopping up little EDFs with good results and have seen similar to your F16... no doubt they go! Have fun
