Firstly - I'm super excited about this game and the negative title is for clicks.
Secondly - I did it! I complained and the world gave me what I wanted. I get to be a spoiled brat forever! 🥺🥴
Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch sounds like the answer to everything I complained about in my last video about Pokémon. It's a single-player, open-world Pokémon game that focuses on innovating the gameplay. I'm super fucking excited about it, but obviously, I have some worries. In this video, I break down 5 things I'm excited about and 5 things that I'm worried about for the upcoming game!

I'm so pumped for this game I can't wait to learn more about it!!!! BUt perhaps the most exciting thing about it is the potential for legends games in other regions like Johto, Unova, Galar etc. I'm def choosing my boy Rowlet for this game though

They honestly need to ditch the handholding and linearity of the main series for this entry and let us go wherever from the start. If we die in a single hit in an area we're not ready for, so be it! They need to give us that opportunity! That's the beauty of exploration and discovery - you might find something cool and rewarding, or a secret boss rewards your curiosity with an early grave. Oooooh I know I said I didn't want gameplay loop built around gyms again but finding out how they were first made would actually be really interesting! If there is a homesteading/base building mechanic, I really hope they include a gym. Also thank you for your ball Philip! :D

I liked your idea of using the homestead to hold non team Pokemon. Doesn't seem right to shove them in a PC when they have so much potential even seeing them roam freely to some extent would make it worth catching more then a core team. BTW love the vids as always

I would also be interested to see if they take any of the lore from that one Lucario movie (I believe takes place at this time period). So warring nations using pokemon as tools of war, high fantasy, etc.

🏀🏐 Very excited for this game and it's honestly affirmed my return to the Pokémon series. I'm glad they handed off the Sinnoh remakes so Game Freak can focus upon this. I just hope that reception is warm (if the game is somewhat good) so that innovation is rewarded. The idea of a Pokémon adventure game is 😍. I'm also giving Game Freak WAY too much credit, but I hope the emptiness and lack of content was more to save announcements for later and keep expectations low with the idea that there is a TON of content for later. Also, a little mad at myself for creating such low expectations for a company that makes so much money...you know...corporations... Okay. Gonna shake the existential dread and get excited again! Also memeable/favorite moments: 2:56 : My reaction watching the Pokemon Day announcements 6:05 : "Looks empty, dunnit" 7:25 : "I'll be... saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad" 9:50 : "Pokéballs are insane technology" *pokéball is empty tin* 12:57 : *Throws wand in disgust*

Thanks for your balls! And gosh I'm TOTALLY the same, I think in my SWSH video when I was talking about how those games were a good *step* in the right direction, I said that stepping in the right direction isn't enough for a studio that makes their kinda money. It should already be good. Hopefully the 'step' they took with SWSH will make Legends Arceus something truly special, but let's face it, it's going to be a resounding success on Brand Strength alone :/ Anyways, I have high hopes for the game and I can't wait to play it!!! :D :D

We will see what we will see. In truth I suspect somehow the Nintendo Zelda team is advising behind the scenes. The same as they did with Hydro Warriors. If thats the case the world should be good upon release. Maybe they will even have flying and ground Pokemon mounts, swimming, & climbing who knows? I'll bet tho that with a day and night system Pokemon battles will differ by time. I also wonder if there will be weather mechanics built in and camping. Again who knows?

Who knows indeed! That's what makes it so fun to speculate, all we've got is limitless potential right now. A clever tactic to get us all talking about it, but also a risky one as we're going to end up expecting far more than they will probably be able to deliver 😂

Like Star Fox adventures where you use the little triceratops to help you with puzzles. I want that with Pokemon. World looks too empty but time travel mechanic could be disguising the development.

Jake I agree with you about regional pokemon and having no more new pokemon unless.... regional pokemon evolve into something different to counter regions! Eh, what do you think? A couple new ones is okay and i agree with you on simplicity of design makes them a lot more cute; but I was thinking they could take a spin on the Evee approach like making an Aloha Pickachu fire type or water type (toilet type depending on translation lmao) it would give certain players an incentive to collect pickachu from all over the world with different abilities!
