This is so cool! Thank you so much for posting. I downloaded something from somewhere but I like this better and wasn't able to find it before. I think ebay sells them sometimes.
I bought this manual 38yrs ago, but I think you can get it at Cottage craft works. I bought mine at a appliance store which doesn't exist anymore. Tim 😃
I just purchased a Maytag N2LS. It works, but I would like to have my husband do a complete maintenance on it before I start using it. Can you tell me where I can get a service manual for this model. I am going to need to know where I can get replacement parts as well. Glad I found you on RU-vid, hope you can help. Thanks B
My manual is 38 years old I'm not sure if you can find one or not you can look on the web but if you know what you need you can look on Ebay I have found alot of things there. Let me know. Tim and Rosiemae.
Daves Repair is where you can order a Manual or can go to cottagecraftworks.com/maytag-wringer-washer-power-unit-parts and download for personal use. Both Daves Repair and Cottage craft have various parts or can send you in the right direction for the parts. davesrepair.com/pdfmanuals/mytJ2partsman.htm I had purchased the J2L a year or so ago and an currently preparing it for use. On Ebay you can also find most parts if you know what you need.
I'm not sure maybe you can get one at Cottage Craft Works I thought I saw one there. I bought mine almost forty years ago so I don't think mine is available anymore. Tim
I tightened the tension springs all the way because I need the wringer to wring they only go as far as the threads allow you can go as far as you want but make sure that the same amount of bolt is exposed on all four bolts you don't want them uneven. Let me know if you have any questions. Tim😃
I'll bet it is that centering spring for the release bar it's not locking the tension bars out. You have to get a new centering spring check out my service manual under wringer cap maintenance there it shows you that spring. Hope it helps you. Tim
Hello Mr Tim have you given any thought to make a PDF so everyone that has one of these machines can down load it? And not saying you don't but if your don't know how maybe your son or grandson lol I ask my daughter all the time😇😂
I bought this manual 38yrs ago they were readily available then not sure where you can get it now parts were the same thing. You can try Cottage Craft Works for one. Tim 😃
I am not sure I find some parts on Ebay and some of them are questionable they look really old.But some of the parts are really good I look them over before I buy. Tim.
Posted link on Betty Taylor message to where one can go to locate parts. Amish still use the machines and manufacture parts for them. I am waiting on some parts currently.
You just pull up on it. But before the machine is 1/2 empty don't let it empty completely. It will be really hard to get it off. Let me know if you are still having trouble. Tim😀
@@timkessler4894 Yes I have a Queen that I need to do something with the rollers they are cracked bad enough that they don't ringout as good as my Maytag
I just recently put some duct tape on the end of my bottom roller it was knocking really bad it seemed to fix it for now rollers are hard to find.Hows the motor doing on May I noticed it wasn't running very well you will probably have to take the motor out and have its bearings and bushings replaced??🤔🤔🤔 Tim and Rosie
I found a place where you can get a owner's manual for the Maytag wringer washer go to www.davesrepair.com you can download and print a owner's manual there.Tim and Rosie 😃😃😃!
There are 2 ways to add 1 through the vent hole on the wringer post under the machine I use a special oil can that will fit in hole but you have to add it slowly and use a 90 weight gear oil. 2 you have to have a special tool to do that one and you have to be careful because it will vapor lock and you'll have to turn the belt pulley to free it. Tim
@@kathyschauer2114 yes you can but it but it will be a tight fit if you can't get the syringe with the pump pulled all the way up use a flexible drinking straw on the end of the syringe that should fit in the hole on the machine I hope you know where it is it's under the machine between the power unit and the leg of the machine on the wringer post the hole is right in the middle of the post hope you know where that is let me know if you have trouble. Tim
