15:41 I'd argue that's a better review than going in knowing everything about a product. Most people who purchase something for the first time go in not being experts and generally have questions. In my opinion the types of reviews that ask others are better than ones showing you everything. That being said, if it's a review of a product a person is very familiar with, tips and tricks says person has learned are always welcome
This is/was a great review! Love the commentary. You demonstrated very quickly how one was easier than the other. That made my choice easy. I don't have time to chase parts. You clarified being able to use 2 blades as to having to have 3. Well done!
Nice shave Johan! Nice looking lable and the scent notes sound very nice 😎👍 Sorry to hear about your loss of the aftershave bottle 😢 I guess you will have to place another order for a replacement (and some new stuff aswell) 😉👍 Have a good one! Steve
Nice shave Johan! The AC blade made short work of your week long growth! A great looking shavette as well 😎👍 Sometimes I'll just say "it's pouring outside" or "it's really coming down out there" when it's raining hard, but these aren't clever or funny in anyway 😄👍 Have a good one! Steve
I came from shaving with a multi-blade cartridge razor directly to a traditional straight razor. I'm still to scared to shave with a "safety" razor. You are a brave3 man tham I am, shaving with a eazor where you can't see the blade's edge on your skin.
Hello Mr Butcher, I am interested in two things: 1. how slippery is the new version of the soap compared to the tallow version; 2. what is the smell of the new version of soap compared to tallow soap? Please carefully analyze and respond. Also, please provide a link to the Swedish soap shop you mentioned in the video. I'm not from Sweden and I'd love to get to know him. Thanks and handshake Wojtek
Fact First: 25C = 77 F = 297 K Joke: The logic was doubtful in this one. For the AC to cool, ther engine part has to be placed physically outside Hell. and he didn't escape? We'll leave it there, ignoring the problems of god suing someone and going to court, needing a lawyer and judge. On the positive side: I tried the Hernö Old Tom Gin (The one with the white cat's face on the label; no 30048). Nice it was too, great as backgruound to a kind of a weak tasting mixer. I didn't get all the nuances that's supposedly in it, but that's just me. I'm planning on trying the very local one, distilled in Bergen, Bareksten's Old Tom (their Botanical Gin, available at Systembolaget [No 82546] is really excellent! - and the 46% abv helps dull the alum pains).
Nice joke Johan! I recently had a MWF sent to Japan from the UK. What on earth is the old recipe or the new it? I'm new to it, so I can't tell the difference. I'm going to try it now, so I'm looking forward to it. From Japan
Oh, poor Johan! You lost your house slaves😂😂😂 I only clean the sink in my downstairs bathroom, as my youngest does the rest. Upstairs is cleaned by my eldest.
Engineers all go to heaven .That would make a change from being so shafted on earth? ( the curse of working with your hands ) Glad youve got some warm weather, like us in the uk , its unnatural 😂 . Soap isnt as big a deal for me , its the blade that counts ,as you proved with the Weck .
Having enjoyed more than just a few shaves with both formulas, I still can't consistently tell them appart in a reproducible way. Stay sharp and well hydrated 😁
Great comparison, I have just bought a new formula puck from their shop (Kent luxury soap) so this was interesting and looking forward to your future opinions on the product. 🇬🇧🪒🪒👍
Loved the joke! And, yes, this is where I come to hear a good dad humor. Oh, I enjoy the shaving content too :) MWF isn't for me. Not because I have difficulty lathering it, mostly because I much prefer to enjoy artisan soaps from around the world; which are just stunningly good. A notable exception to this is, Tabac, which of course, everybody loves ;-)
As soon as I heard that the MWF formula had changed, I ordered a couple of pucks so I would not miss out. Turns out the new stuff showed up. My comparative test results were similar to yours. I’d be hard pressed to identify one over the other in a blind test. So now, I have enough good soap. For the record, the MWF bath soap I ordered at the same time still contained the evil cow fat. 😎 Nice shave, happy summer!
I bought several pucks of the old tallow formula back when I could. I tried the newer formula without tallow and didn't like it nearly as much. But that was back when they very first made the change. I've heard they have tweaked the new formula since I tried it so maybe it's better now. I absolutely love the tallow MWF and I'm glad I stocked up on it.
A bit of a rough shave but that’s just how it goes sometimes. You know how I think about Mitchell’s. Too much effort without the reward so I put a Haslinger puck in the ceramic bowl. Blasphemy I know. Good joke. Once My wife tried to put gas in the car with the green handled pump and wondered why the nozzle didn’t fit and drove away. Well it’s diesel fuel honey. (I drive a regular gas car.). I’ll just do it. Take care!
Soaps can go off, the oils in them can go rancid, although I don't recall ever having any of my soaps/creams go bad/off/mouldy but I don't load from the tub, I have found many Artisan soaps do start to form Stearic Crystals after a few years or they may dry out a bit but it does not appear affect performance and scent may mellow a bit. 👌🤠👍
The luxury and historical glory of a good Filly14 will put anyone in a good mood , and should make you forget your cut scalp and golf ....my travelling Filly14 is still in a lady friends make up bag ! Wonderful shave Johan as expected 👌 ( better an 'off day' with golf ,than with shaving 😀)
get a mini "ultrasonic" cleaner that cleans jewelry, and you'd solve all the cleaning problem immediately! LOL and you can also say u bought it for the misses as an excuse too, win win!
