X is not a publisher of news, it's a social media channel everybody is quite welcome to post. And since Musk's takeover, the algorithm is now open source. You're quite welcome to check it yourself for biases.
grew up in South Africa during the apartheid years and met hundreds of white men like Musk. We were taught that racism is not racism but a natural understanding that as you don't mix cucumbers and tomatoes, this alleged "natural order of things" demanded we separate "un-mixable" cultures such as black and white people. Musk inherited the Afrikaaner's Calvinistic dominion-ism from the Dutch Reformist Church which incidentally also created an extreme version of patriarchy. His wife Justine told me once that during their wedding's bridal dance, Musk chose that moment to say "I am the alpha in this relationship" South Africa taught many white men that dominance was their natural birth right and Musk seems to have completely failed to unlearn this lesson. The African philosophy of Ubuntu solved many reconciliation problems in SA via the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Musk had left SA before this form of justice became the new SA's reality and instead preserved his (and many other SA men's) undeserved privilege of dominance. A grotesque version of this dominance is his father's recent marriage to his step daughter and siring children with her. Thus making Musk's sister his mother in law and his former brothers are now his nephews. Not to forget how Musk's eldest son is now transitioning and this was the moment that Musk - who previously claimed to be socially tolerant - started raging against young people and their preferred pursuit of freedom I've been permanently banned from Twitter for copyrighting the moniker 'Apar-𝕏-eid' and Musk's lawyers are now threatening me with legal and financial extinction. Dominance in race, marriage, politics, media and his father's "Harem" seems kosher Losing dominance seems to trigger an existential crisis in the poor chap which also might explain his need to retreat into Ketamine solitude
so...this is very well done..you will not get much views or likes...but you get my sub...well done. I would call this...a remix..a sample and hip hop. I hope you understand the complement. if not...use it...keep going...be you..this is...art
Whoever killed the Internet want to push "climate change kill everyone in earth before the war on terror truly ends, let alone humanity stepped foot on mars or reached type 1 civilization" propaganda bullshit Back to digimon, when Digimon franchise no longer limit the species of superpowered beings to titular creatures, it has already gone with all new kids and universes, reinforcing out-of-placeness of non-digimon superbeings in first 2 seasons of digimon(and it's sequels such as tri, kizuna, and even 02 the beginning)
That is not the worst thing to take from the Dub. Also, I think people unironically ship Yamato and Taichi so the problem isn't just dub watchers. The moment they said Digimon the movie instead of just Our War Game I knew they were Dub only and hadn't really checked out the Japanese version, they just knew it existed. Let's not forget in the Dub Alaska is apparently north of Japan.
@@numberhunter62 Well that’s just shipping in general, the difference with Taichi x Yamato is that no one claimed that the series intended for them to be together unlike the dub writers and watchers and don’t get me wrong I personally love Taichi x Sora, the dub writers probably did too, but I know that they never existed anywhere in canon
If anything the Ye Wenjie plot tells us that access to radio telescopes must be put under strict control - they need to be treated as dangerous weapons of self destruction. Ye Wenjie acting as an "anti-swordholder" in the first book of the trilogy is a warning.
Though I don't agree with his politics, I find Ronald Reagan's statement to be quite relevant: "I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. And yet, I ask you, is not an alien force already among us? What could be more alien to the universal aspirations of our peoples than war and the threat of war?" I can only imagine how much we could achieve if we united as a species against a singular threat. But then again, we fail to come together against poverty, hunger, disease, and war.
Without the relative lens from an imaginary superior race of aliens, human society or culture by itself outside of the fiction is completely meaningless. And without someone assign a meaning to it, I really don't think human culture is worth condemning or cheering for, it is just what it is. I think three body did a fantastic job in the context building, which can put a lot of human values in perspective of something whether it be social stability or scientific progression, etc. and more impressively, it lands well into the character motivation and building. Without these masterfully done elements, I think a person will soon realize how meaningless their life is truly. Even in the context of the three body novels, vast majority of humans are not even worthy of any attention from the aliens, only the most intelligent and capable is considered "human". Ironic to say the least when thinking about what random individuals mean in a human society.
Hey guys, thanks for all the comments! Just wanted to say, if you like my video, please check out some of the others on my channel page. Thanks! Link: www.youtube.com/@stroopythestroopwaffle
I share your choice of heroes. Stewart and Oliver are the smartest funnymen going! (funniest smartmen?) I feel smarter - well, better informed - after watching them, and I definitely don't feel depressed or pessimistic about the future. Chin up, young people are our future. That means you.
you nailed it. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we had Jon Stewart as POTUS with John Oliver as VP? I have been primed in fight or flight mode since the Dumpster announced his candidacy. The spring release is twisted so tight. I listen to Jon and see the reality of the danger we are in for the genuine threat that it is. We need to resist the fascism.
For a more balanced source of news I'd advise looking at the app Ground News. It's a news aggregate that gets news from wll sides and compares them oh political leaning and factuality. It really allows you to gain a wider understanding
I forgot to respond to this, but thank you so much for this recommendation! I've been using it for a few weeks now and my brain feels so much better! It sounds stupid, but its true!
Refreshing from RU-vid algorithm. I was worried I won't find anything fresh without unsubscribing from like 1000+ channels. Love this view, I share it. Sucks that I live in a way worse country, but most of my country's decisions are made with a nod from US Embassy, so US politics matters in some way for me too. Also I have to say I share the same notion on anxiety as well... Damn. Hitting point after point. <3
As a FoxNews Dad and most likely not your target audience, I think you did a nice job. Video has really good pacing and you are very articulate. looks like your channel is young but I think you will do very well. i look forward to more videos.
You are exactly my target audience, my goal here is to reach everyone because ultimately we are all people and Americans. Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate your comment!
4 more years of Biden is not gonna help your anxiety. The only thing that it helps is that it wouldn't be 4 years of trump. So liberals and democrats actually perpetuate the exact fear that you are struggling with. "No solutions, but atleast maybe less stress". Jon stewart is prompting the party of "hush hush until you accept the new normal", which is perpetual anxiety and fear.
I suppose that is somewhat accurate, I do feel though, that Biden (while provoking anxiety as an individual) is at least bolstered by a decent team. I know that he's not perfect, but at least his people are trying. You should watch my Trump video, I sort of talk about this. The one thing that I find to be really helpful is to believe what Jon said at the end of his Biden/Trump video which is that the work of politics and making a better world is done by a lot of people silently over time. I do think that a lot of anxiety is just the media, everything could be fine or status quo for the last 20 years and they would still find something to stress us all out because they need clicks and money. I was going to mention that in this video but I wanted to focus on my main point of Jon and his perspective.
