My, this takes me back. I was in first grade during this time. I wonder why the previews look old and scratchy, when time goes by so quickly and I don't feel that old. I'm 60. I particularly enjoyed the intro to movie of the week. Seeing the ABC logos going by and forming a virtual corridor...I feel so sentimental, seeing that and hearing the music. Then, even at age 6, I thought Bill Bixby was so hot.
The intro to 𝘞𝘩𝘰'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘴𝘴? that is seen here is actually the original Season 1 intro. It appears the version seen on the Season 1 episodes since then was a plaster. Hulu restores this original intro on a couple of episodes.
Not James Buchanan High School-It’s called New Utrecht High School. My late mother’s Alma mater. She was autistic and was in the remedial class. Which sadly, was not called the “sweathogs” either…!
"Greatest Generation" in charge, "Boomers" in their early 20s. We "GenXers" just starting school. No PC, no woke, no 15 genders... I was 5 in 1971. I remember kindergarten, monkey bars, banana bike seats, bench seats in cars, Brady Bunch, Room 222, Mary Tyler Moore, MASH(in 1972) I was never a fan of the movie. To all that I have met so far in life, thank you. I have learned more from relatives, friends and customers(I delivered/maintained Durable Medical Equipment for over two decades) than I did in all of my formal education. Today, my personal opinion is that a group is using "climate change" to railroad us into Socialism. Our beloved "Greatest Generation" would have never tolerated this type of nonsense. Be well.
This is the fall preview that got 10 year old me hyped for the airing of Saturday Night Fever! I can’t believe I’m seeing this again here! I remember I couldn’t wait to see Saturday night fever
RIP JACK Lemmon and Peter Falk They worked well Together. luv was their Second picture together Before that They were in the Great Race with Tony Curtis Natalie Wood and Keenan Wynn
After Assignment Vienna failed, Robert Conrad had better luck in the 80's with Black Sheep Squadron on NBC. Alias Smith and Jones was an indicator that Westerns were on their way out in Prime Time. The show's poor performance might have been the cause of Peter Deuel committing suicide while the show was still on the schedule.
52 years have passed already, and I was amazed how fast Jim McKay went from a Happy sports reporter to a hard nosed newsman when the terrorists attacked the Olympic village. However, I miss the ABC Tuesday and Wednesday movie of the week. I remember Kung Fu fondly, my parents liked Owen Marshal, the Rookies and The Streets of San Francisco for ABC’s new season. The Rookies premiere episode had allot of unintentional laughs as seen in today’s reality.😂! I wish Paul Lynne’s show and the Men series would have caught on. Also Temperatures Rising, although Scrubs did succeed years later, Clevon Little and cast looks like it should have been a win…ah well! Have a Great day!
8:44- scenes from the 1969 CBS "Make Room For Granddaddy" special [produced on videotape] were presented here, as the new series hadn't begun production as yet. Danny took the project to ABC, after CBS offered him a time slot he wasn't too happy about.
