After almost a year of looking, I stumbled upon Chateau Borie located in Southwestern France in May 2022 and I'm now undertaking the terrifying prospect of becoming a Chatelaine!
I hope the colors on the screen are way off, or please stop contemplating that painted on "yellow", at least with that bed frame. or the light does change colors, try it on another wall? Makes me think of babies and peas... I'm loving all your other color choices.
You made the right decision not painting the room yellow. Yellow in home decoration is not nice at all. Would never use yellow myself the same goes with orange.

The hidden door wall is so well done. I really love the wallpaper too. The couch looks so good now that the paint matches it. I really like the pink chair, it’s like you said it brings out the little pink bits in the wall paper. I don’t like the orange at all, it takes away from the pink somehow. Sort of clashes or just rips it to shreds, lol. The roof fix was lucky, and so was the no Covid, I must admit I was nervous when Olivia was there in such close proximity to you when you were working on the door. But glad to hear it’s happy days.
Hello! Bonjour! That passport thing has been in effect here (Canada) for quite a while. On the one hand, I sort of understand, on the other hand, I think it’s a bit ridiculous. The yellow of your t-shirt might have worked in the Ginkgo room; it’s a very soft shade. If/when I meet you, remind me to tell you the beige ceiling joke. It’s a bit off-colour, no pun intended! The wallpaper in your bureau works beautifully (I note that as one who generally does not care for wallpaper!) and you did such a grand job on that hidden door. Was not expecting the negativity- I can sense the cultural frustrations recently (can’t get workers in August as it is time for family), frustration with diy, daughter being flippant. I appreciate this slice of realism - I was getting super frustrated just watching though! Very nice result.

I also think the blue sofa should face the fireplace because that will be the most comfy to watch tv. I don’t think facing the mural will be easy to watch TV on the side. I also think the mural is best left alone so you’re not distracted by furniture etc. it’s a beautiful statement piece. And I think you’re brave to try these new skills. Others could never paint a picture like you or have such an eye for color. We’re all good at different things. Be proud.
when you have dark colored walls, the furniture should be lighter, throw some pillows in lighter white, or yellow color, throw the rug out, and definitely not those chairs, I mean the colors of the chairs are fine but the color of the chairs its just clashes too much with the walls.
I haven’t watched the whole video yet, but why not make the glass on that door frosted? There are products that can be painted on to make the glass look frosted.

Love! the wallpaper and how genius of hiding the door. It’s a lot of work but you persevere from one job to the next. I also love how the windows frames the yard/landscape just beautiful!
