It is interesting that Marcus Grönholm´s mother tongue is Swedish and still he speaks English with a Finnish accent rather than a Finland Swedish accent.
Scottish people now get this box for every child, regardless of whether you are rich or poor - or what child this is (1st child? 14th child? doesn't matter - you're getting the 'baby box'!)
There is no Student visa for Finland. There is Residence Permit for Studies, which isn't a visa at all. Maternity grant You can choose between a maternity package and a tax-free cash benefit of €170. A prerequisite for receiving the maternity grant is that you must visit a doctor or a maternity and child health clinic for a health check before the 4th month of pregnancy. In practice, this means a health check that you have before the end of week 18. You can apply for a maternity grant after 154 days of pregnancy (about 5 months). You must also get a certificate from a doctor or a maternity and child health clinic showing how many weeks along you are. Include the certificate with your application. The maternity grant can be awarded to persons who are permanently resident in Finland. If you have moved from another EU or EEA country or from Switzerland to Finland in order to work here or if you are a family member of a person who has moved to Finland in order to work here, you are also entitled to the maternity grant. In such a case, you must also be covered by the Finnish social security system.
That box is different each years. Ours in 2019 had a wolf, an elephant, a giraffe. not very Finnish but it was still nice 👍🙂 Ours also included bibs, condoms, plushies and more clothes. Seems like they reduced it a lot 😮
