Super interesting background information as well as remarkable colorization skill. Lincoln aged tremendously from what I gather due to the war and we are very fortunate to have preserved so many pictures of this U.S. President.
Brilliant!!!! Simply a MASTERCLASS!!! I've viewed many, many videos on photo restoration and left with bits and pieces of information, but with little understanding of the process. I came across your videos and feel like I have finally gained some grasp of layers, blend-if, photo restoration, etc. Thank you for putting together these videos and sharing your knowledge while making it understandable. More, more, more!!!!!
I have just come across your excellent video which is very informative and I am very interested in experimenting with working with old and new methods ie Stable Diffusion. After reading about Stable Diffusion there seems to be many other parts to download and many different 'add-ons' that other people use. I like the way you used Stable Fusion so could you please tell me what software/programs/apps that you use so I can experiment. Thanks.
interesting photo, they do all seem well fed, two fat babies, well dressed (for the time) and the men have clean hands and nails and the boys feet are clean - glad you restoration highlights this.
I love your colorization of this photograph of David Rice Atchison who was my great great great Uncle and guardian of my great grandfather--he always thought his "presidency" was pretty much a joke, although I have found a newspaper document (from New Jersey) that said he was paid "68 dollars and a half" for that day as "president." (He always said he slept most of the day--a an administration that at least did little harm!) And thank you too for your information on his being sworn in minutes before Taylor. Will pass this on to my cousins.
Complete Beginners Photoshop Guide ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H9JkrYTdNfA.html Lots of helpful information for those starting out, or looking to improve their Photoshop knowledge :)
Your tutorials are brilliant! This is helping me to recolor some historical family photos I inherited. I am familiar with photoshop for illustration purposes, but I was a bit lost with the restoration and recolorization. I'm using the AI features a bit, but really I don't think it's replaced doing the job by hand... at least not just yet! Have you ever tried using solid color adjustment layers? I find these are helpful in my illustration process because I can change the exact color at any time. I find this easier than adding a hue/saturation adjustment, but perhaps it is just my habit. Anyway, it might be something to toy around with!
I imagine you may have already seen it but I did do a video showing how colorization could be done using Photoshop's Neural Filters. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3_uznyvfB20.html If i can find new and informative ways to do colorization content I will be sure to do so in the future :)
Great video! I don't personally use Adobe Photoshop, but I found that most things apply to any other photo editing software. So helpful! P.S. 10/10 for the frog drawing 😁🐸
Thank you! Yes, I wish I'd mentioned near the start of the video but a lot of the concepts I covered were fairly universal, regardless of your software :). (And thank you for the frog praise 🐸)
Love it! Ty definitely saving for later…also mind blown with the pixel part makes sense but I just believe it was pseudo magic. We are all just pixels.
Thank you so much! The Pixel part was actually interesting for me also. As, while I knew 'how' it worked, until I was actually filming those zoomed in sequences for the video I'd never seen the effect quite so clearly. :)
Thank you very much for your effort and for the clarity of your explanation. I wish you happy holidays in the company of your loved ones and a good start to the year, full of projects and hopes. Greetings from Cádiz.
Thank you for leaving another helpful shortcut! It's always great when the comment section adds additional helpful information for viewers, so thank you for sharing that :)
Every time I use the focal points feature I get an error message that says the tool has been temporarily disabled. I've gone through all the trouble-shooting steps and am unsure what to do next.
Hello. Thats is a very helpfull tutorial I've learned a lot but I have some question to ask, what is your Preset when creating a new file? I hope you could help me. Thanks a lot.
