I am a Darwener, and the Sough tunnel is a remarkable piece of civil engineering, especially when you consider when it was built, how it was built and the lack of machinery that was available then, and of course how many people were killed during its construction.
Thanks for the super clip,,, I remember the Sough Tunnel walk we did,,, there was an engineer possession on that weekend and we spent some time looking at the middle where the ends meet,, they were off by about 2 meters,,
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Train drivers are required to sound a series of short blasts at frequent intervals when making a wrong direction movement. The use of the horn in this instance is detailed in Rule Book Module TW1 Section 47.3 (d).
That’s odd that the crossing doesn’t come down and let the train go through, the train has to stop and wait for it? Also, why didn’t this end at Colne as it was almost there?
The video details a typical TBW line. It could be used to assist in the understanding of TBW. However, there are of course more rules than this to consider.
@@terrencelau509 Aren't the 350's basically an AC version of the 450's. I don't think there is a guards window which opens separately from the opening of a door in the passenger area on a 450. The only way would be able to acces an opening window would be via going in a cab which would be hard.
