It's called Megalophobia - I believe it's so potent because it reminds us of the scale and scope of our predicaments in an easily comprehensible way, we're always facing insurmountable odds as mortal creatures in a seemingly infinite world. We're reminded to have reverence for our journeys. That reverence and fear are a rather exhilarating and emotionally charged experience. More potent than that in my opinion is the universal nature of this challenge. In the face of these completely insurmountable odds, we find the strength to laugh, to love, to make art, to comfort strangers, and most of all to keep going. Somewhere in this metaphor, we tower higher than the most insurmountable odds because we have every reason not to.
I do wish this game was better. I had so much hope for it. Still not comparable for me. Especially to other soulslikes. I do hope you can fix the jank! Then it would be much much more fun
What was accomplished with such a small team is amazing. I hope we will get a sequel done with a bit more resources one day. The world and design overall is fantastic, the gameplay unfortunately was not doing it for me...
How will I ever escape the omnistructure... or can I? For some reason, I don't want to leave. I came across a man in my travels that once said, "There's something in the air."
I'm playing right now. Plays fine to me. The movement feels a little off sometimes and the collision glitches a little but, no major bugs so far. I remember the first time I got to the first boss, his a.i. died and he just stood there letting me smack the crap out of him lol. Nothing like that has happened so far. They seemed to completely fixed both elevator glitches and ladder problems as well with a short loading screen.
