Hey, what kind of sampler are you using ? While i find the S1000 sounds perfect for what i need, i had s3000xl for a while as well, and it behaved differently always sounding choppy, i figured it sort of cuts milliseconds from the start of the chops which might create the choppy effect which i am not keen on at all. I found the s3000xl was a lot better for making house music using drum machine one-shots.
I have my S1000 connected to my G4 via SCSI and I have Recycle and my MPC Live 2 what I was chopping in before I got my S1000 in MPC I can adjust the tail length of chops and there’s legato mode, I do like using Recycle it make chopping a lot easier but I’m not sure if I can adjust the chops once I transmit to sampler
@@djtekkazlocked6486 Never used reaper so have no idea how that is different from just sampling loops in to the s1000 and chopping them inside the akai. I personally prefer sampling stuff in because it goes through the converters and that is where the akai sound comes from.
@@IJOSoundVideo yeah me 2 I sample it into S1000 and send the sample from the sampler to Recycle via scsi and the chop it in Recycle and then transfer back to Sampler it’s much quicker doing it this way, I’ve never used Reason also
The plugin looks great, but I think we can get the same effect with Reason tools. Mimic with time stretching and filter comb automations. I need to try it out. By the way, great track. The vibe of the great jungle period.
Cheers ! Mimic does have a very similar workflow, but amigo has the sound due to its differently written algorithms when it comes to bit rate, which is important.
I recently discovered you and started listening to your tracks. The quality is high in every aspect. I am also influenced by Aphex Twin and Squarepusher just like you, but I haven’t found any other music with such a high degree of reproducibility. Are you sampling from their tracks?or are you creating the sounds as originals?
Hey, thanks for the comment, appreciate it ! These are quite old tunes already, but no, i wasn't sampling anything at all. I was using breaks from my many thousand break collection i always collect from various sources, and i play my own music using various software / hardware synths, and do my own sound manipulation in different ways, mostly with my own techniques i came up my self trying to mimic the sound i was hearing in aphex and s'pusher tunes.
"Melody" on 8 channel reminds me Balil - Nort Route (Remix) or kind of another stuff from Black Dog / Plaid . "Seq1" and "Seq2" reminds some of early soviet synthesizer sounds like a Поливокс and etc, same atmosphere... in jungle context it's sounds wicked and interesting! 👍
Idk man I think you're pretty good at jungle. I understand though. You'll be missed. I feel like you'll be back at some point. ❤ And I think there is an underground. You are part of it! Big up! Appreciate your music and video's. What's your ambient channel called?
Luke Vibert...i remember back in 95 when a friend showed me a red vinyl 'inside out' Wagon Christ. This Track is my personal blueprint to electronic ambient music. I still also like drum&bass for Papa....one of my favorit jungle albums....
I talk a lot in the beginning like I always do, I just get carried away, but there's good info in that. You can skip that straight to the track. Will be included in my forthcoming album.
Thank you !! Making music with hardware is easy and not so much at the same time. However, i generally believe, with computers, being able to do anything, at the same time, computers kill the vibe for me. Back in the day, with analog technology (generally everywhere , both in film .music..) coming up with ideas and techniques to present something new was always a challenge, but a good one. With computers, though, you can do literary anything, and that is boring, isn't it ? Hardware requires commitment, which yields different approach and results.
Take it you're using the mpc beats software? It's keygroups you're looking for, then you can assign zones to your keyboard, there are tutorials on RU-vid that will explain it easily ✌🏻
crescendo from ppp to full volume reverse amen samples one second before intial drop in the tune...mini transitions like in flooring from one room to another.. your tune is super bumping smooth....loved the detune hissy ride at the interlude. BOH to atmospheric hardstep....real dope dude!!
"strictly jungle" ..... loved your words there. It was as if your analytical mind formulated some equations that manifests the overall theme into those two words. haha loved it. im kind of in your same position. ex-junglist dj and producer..had kids. kids are now 16 and 18 year old babylon demolitionists. mission accomplished, so I'm back lol....and enjoying your videos yeah Amigo is the shit. crushing and punishing the little electrons
