Thanks for the reply man! Another quick question for you, were you able to get program changes happening on the iOS synths when you change patterns on the DT? For example Pattern 1 on the DT plays a selected preset on an iOS synth, then pattern 2 on the DT automatically triggers a change to another preset of an ios synth ? Can’t seem to figure it out….
@@looprovisation1235 Havent tried this out, but in AUM you have so called "Preset Load Actions". Here you can drop a couple of presets from the AUv3 into the List and from there you can assign a Program Change Number to every preset. I assume that it might work that way. Give it a try and let me know if it worked, will ya?
Love my Minimal Techno, this feels so good. Just got a Drumbrute yesterday, hooked it up with my Minibrute 2S (they are so made for each other). Went through the steps shown in the video and yeah sounds great. So nice to transition between patterns I’ve previously made on the 2S and add variations. Thanks for a brilliant tutorial, it has really helped me. : )
What the hell is so great about this device? A pointless display, very short recording time, only 4 tracks? Every better app can do more and costs almost nothing! This is a typical device for people whose parents shove everything up their asses! And why are you fidgeting senselessly with your hands over the thing all the time? Do you have ADHD? 😂
Hi, thanks for the vid it's a godsend :) I set it up almost the same, but sending audio from A4 into DT. I still get delay and reverb sends but no chorus. I was having some gain issues the other way around. Program change just works, simply set the auto channel to the same number, send from DT and receive on A4. Don't even need to turn on the program potentiometer on a midi track in the SRC page or put down a trigless trig. I just change patterns on the DT and the A4 follows. Hope it keeps working, i'm on the latest OS for each machine. Thanks again.
Hi, I'm trying to follow along with this video but I'm on the OP-1 Field so it's a bit confusing, the names of the kits are different. So I'm trying to get that same first kick you use from the Bronze Drum Kit but am unable and unsure how :(
Hello, this video was great, thanks! Do you think the Digitakt samples reproduction sounds somehow "flatter" than the Tr8s? I fell like hearing a stronger transient response on the comparison between 4:16 and 4:27. I've put the reproduction in mono to "cut" the stereo sample on the Tr8s
I'd love more vids on the Analog4, but especially more advanced workflows and tips/tricks (LooPop made a pretty good tutorial on its MIDI Map function, but perhaps you have something to add)
It always kind of blows my mind how so many people that make genre tutorials with hardware on youtube have no idea what the genres theyre trying to emulate sound like
do you have a video or could you explain how you setup the Tr 8s to work with Ableton via USB? I cannot seem to get it working to record. I currently have an audio interface, but I would like to be able to record all the channels indiviually. For reference I do have a windows computer, with Live 10. I am not sure if that affects it or not.
great video but If it's not too much trouble I and many other nabs out there would appreciate if you could show your synth settings and drums for the jam. like what synth engine, if you used extra samples or LFOs (incl settings) or any fancy effects. I would LOVE to listen and improvise on your jam with my own op :D
There’s a major bug with the Roland TR8s regarding Program Change over midi. Although it may not be important to most single users of the TR8s, if you plan on syncing it up as either master or slave, the following bug is Still present on the machine. The BUG is When either sending or receiving a Program change message via a midi clock, the TR8S slightly lags behind when the program change is executed. Yet when a program change is made manually on the TR8s, there is no problem. It’s been a real pain for me, because the machine itself is amazing.
I'm completely new with the digitakt and you an amazing amount info which is great, just a little too fast for newbies like myself, I realise you are more like an expert, but could you slow down your tutorials so we can understand what's going on, sorry to complain ❤
