Started processing the 25 or so pallets I picked up from local businesses into useable wood today. You've inspired me to be a maker. These videos really mean a lot to some people. Thank you.

Yet again, I can only sit back here in the UK and admire the build. You seem so modest, even prepared to show and share how you do things. You sir, are a credit to the USA. Rgds to ' Spike ' as well

+Kettletrigger Ha! I did wonder how many of those in the store ever actually cut wood with an ax. I mean, I love Jimmy and his work, but a handle-making demo in a clothing store? That seems a bit much.

+Grindstone lot of them. You're just sounding presumptuous. I own 40 acres of forested land. And many of the fans are makers or up and coming

You use a bandsaw like a sculptor, you have a great eye for free handing shape and form. Think I must have watched all your videos, some more than once. Great inspiration! If I can get my channel to be half as good as yours I will be very happy. Nice job 👍🏼

great work, I wouldn't have picked an other axe head, and the finish on the handle fits perfect. giving a tool an other hundred years of life is always honorable, these kind of projects I love most doing. a unique tool says so much about the person using it.

Jimmy...even if you create a thousand axe handles... I'll always find something new to learn and appreciate. Great Work as usual. Or just the DiResta Way I assume... Fun fact: I met a buddy on a flea market the other day. In front of us plenty of tools. Both spoke it out: what would Jimmy do. we laugh so hard. Thanks for the time and effort, the spirit and the uhs and ahs in the end. Greetings from Germany.

I have a True Temper axe that is identical. I have been using it for over 20 years. Picked it up with a couple others in the early 90s at an auction. It was as rusty as yours. Good splitting axe. Should last the rest of my life and then some. I put several coats of BLO on handles and smooth with 0000 steel wool between coats. After the final one I buff the heck out of the handle. Gives it that smooth worn feel.
