I joined a running club in October so I could take part in their interval sessions and it’s transformed my trail running. I’d never really pushed the pace before and I felt my performance levels had really plateaued. Since joining I’ve gone from a 46 minute 10km pb to a 39 minute pb. My easy speeds on the trail are so much faster now. I can’t wait to see how you progress in your goal, although I would recommend running intervals on the road as it’ll increase your turnover rate and speed.

That is great to hear. I will do some test in the next month or so to see how my thresholds improves. I also like to run intervals on the road but it kills my calfs. Gravel roads or flat non technical trails is better from that perspective. At least for me. Would be great to do sub 40 👍

Nice video Marcus, tough being an older runner looking for speed😂 I joined a running club to share the tempo pain 💪 but staying injury feee and running fast is hard. I’m on a 24 hour silver buckle quest this year🤞 I’ll be watching your progress, good luck man!

Snowdonia. 🙌. Gjorde 55K varianten förra året. Upplevelsen var toppen. Men en grym teknisk bana. Lycka till.

Hej Marcus! I've been a follower of your channel since a while back and I thought it's about time to say "hi!". Really enjoying your videos and your work here and I have even recognized a few familiar faces in your videos over time. Anyways, I have some big running goals for the upcoming months, perhaps taking on Kullamannen 100M as a perfect challenge to wrap up the year. However a month before that date I will also be running the Nice Côte d'Azur 100M which is a massive race, therefore the calendar recommends anything but attending Kullamannen too. Anyways, if the body is OK and I decide to be in it in the end, I might latch on to you and your goal of sub20h if you don't mind the company! We'll see...good luck with your training and perhaps I get to say hi in person in a few months time. Greetings from Stockholm!

Good luck with the Nice 100M and let's hope for a speedy recovery. I never mind the company so I hope to see you at the start line in Höganäs!

Marcus glad that you are making a good progress. Question. Are you doing any explosive strength training ? I am doing box jumps and pistol squats and feel they help with cardio and speed.

Yes. I have been doing some plyometrics the last couple of years and I'm sure these helped me from not killing my quads in the downhills of UTMB. Here is a link: uphillathlete.com/strength-training/at-home-muscular-endurance-workout-with-progression/

Basta!
