I don’t understand why the mother and other friends didn’t put the “best friend” in her place. She destroyed the entire appointment.

That is not a friend. That's a bully.

Her shoulders weren’t too broad at all. The strapless was more flattering and flattered her waist too.

That smile on Tricia's face when the bride says she is going to sleep on it - that's the smile of a control freak who thinks she will get her way in the end.

I hope she returned to the store without her so-called "best friend" and bought the dress of HER dreams.

Why didn’t her Mother step in and tell her it is about what her daughter loves? The Mother and the rest of them loved the bride’s choice.

That "friend" - I use the term loosely - looks like a bitter, miserable person who is intent on ruining her friend's big day. It's amazing how a person's true personality can show on their face and this "friend" is an example of that. That poor girl. I hope she returned to the shop and bought the dress she liked. Could we have an update at some stage please? More importantly, are they still friends?

The friend always sees her as a bridesmaid. If I was the bride I would have told her you had your day, now its my turn.

If she falls in love with a dress that you don’t like and you voiced your concerns but she STILL loves the dress, it’s your job as her best friend to support her in her decision and be happy that she found the dress she loves.

That "friend" wants the bride looking like a dowdy plain jane. When in reality the bride is lovely and will look beautiful on the day if she listens to herself and not her any of her "friends". I hope the bride buys the dress of her dreams and ignores her "friends" advice on that, and every thing else wedding related.

Welcome to another episode of “not your wedding!” She was already a bridesmaid, and had to wear all the dresses her friends wanted. Now it’s her turn.

The strapless gown flattered her so much… her friend was cruel and self absorbed… her opinion on her was so bad, I couldn’t look at her rolling eyes anymore. Maybe she is frustrated or upset, but not a friend. A friend is supportive, gentle, uplifting and lovely towards a friend.

There's a reason she's her "BEST" friend. If this so-called friend had another friend of her temperment, controlling, opiniated, rude and unbending, that other friend would kick her to the curb. The dress the bride loved and most everyone else did was stunning on her. The dress the "best friend" loved was not flattering. She definitely had a saboteur amongst her entourage and should have followed her heart.

The dress with straps made her look a little frumpy, imo. I preferred the strapless dress on her. It's a shame her so-called friend made her feel so uncertain she left without a dress.

The way the “best friend” was eyeing Robin in the very beginning when she introduced everyone made me uncomfortable. She’s one of those people… 😒

The one with the sleeves was giving me granny's night dress vibes. Her "friend" obviously wants to be the centre of attention. She's not a good friend at all!

This girl has some internal soul problems… maybe seems like a narcissist? The attitude, the control, the look of satisfaction when she makes her friend confused or doubtful… it’s sick to watch. 3 out of the 4 people on that couch loved the dress but Trisha, the outlier, the only negative voice, was the only voice she was listening to, & Trisha was eating it up.

As a former consultant I would’ve turned around and told the entourage in a very nice way to shut their mouth. I luckily did not have too many entourages that were that opinionated while I was a consultant.

You know definition of best friend? They will cherish you no matter who you are and what you like as long as you happy.

It never ceases to amaze me that these “best friends” are so into being the center of attention that they crush the person who is supposed to be their best friend. Friends, particularly best friends are honest but not brutal and they curb their own feelings when they see their friend has found what she feels is her perfect dress. This woman is NOT a friend, she is a user! She uses her friends to feed her own ego.

When I went shopping for my dress, I went on the first appointment ALONE so I could get a feel for what I liked and wanted. Then, I took my narrowed down styles and options and showed them to my friends and mum to ask for their opinions but they were all sweet and I still ended up picking what I liked.

Control freak friend alert. She looked beautiful in the dress that she loved. I hope she went back to purchase it. Plus she deserves a better, more supportive friend. I hope she has a wonderful wedding and a happy life ahead of her.

I agree with you Virginia…when the bride walked away, why didn’t the mom and other lady tell the “best friend” to zip it! It was quite obvious the bride loved the strapless; I personally didn’t think the dress with straps was very flattering on her. I would never bring anyone to my bridal appointment EXCEPT my mother and sister. They love me and would be honest without being brutal or hurting my feelings.

This is why my daughter asked me to go with her just on her own.

She looked absolutely gorgeous in that 2nd dress. The "friend" was extremely pushy about getting the bride into a less flattering dress, as if she didn't want to be outdone. It's her turn to be in the spotlight and that friend ruined it for her. I hope she eventually found a dress that she absolutely loved instead of chose to please the people she was surrounded by.

$3000 is a big budget. Bride should have been given lots of styles to try on. Its like bride & store just gave up & threw in the towel way too early. Maybe thats the way the show got edited. But she would have found the one if they had just kept looking....just like with finding her man...it takes time & effort & a little luck/fate.

A tailor perspective: the "friend" saying the V neck looks better on broad shoulders shows that she doesn't understand how proportion works. Or worst, that she doesn't want the bride to look at her best. A downward triangular shape accentuates broad shoulder and narrow hips, drawing attention to those hot points. This is not wrong per se, and actually can work very well in casual wear or in high fashion. But in a formal dress you usually want to balance out proportions, so a "smart" strapless, with a minimal silhouette and a high waist (and the second one with the contrasting belt was a perfect example) is actually a way better option.

I could see this so-called friend making a polite suggestion to try on another style, however she didn’t know enough to stop after one comment. No, she kept on like a bully would. If the bride is willing to put this little back stabber's opinion above her own, then, yes, she deserves what she ends up with.

Personally, I liked the dress with straps BUT the bride's favorite was the 2nd dress. She was undoubtedly in her friend's wedding, probably in a horrific bridesmaid dress, so friend should shiy up and support the bride's choice which she does look stunning!
