Why do people fail to believe that this is real. Yes, with these mods you can do this. You can make bolt on ls1 Camaro run mid 12s. Highly under appreciated cars. Every time people talk smack and then go an the ride and "holly shyt " "this is fast"
@@theaube9834 no, nitrous is a power adder, bolt ons include cold air intake, mass airflow sensors, throttle bodies, intake manifolds, headers, exhaust, programmers or tune, gear changes, weight reduction, fuel upgrades, etc.

3.23-3.90 are great gears! Had a 95 Ford F150 5.0 with3.55 and it rocked. Had a 95 5.0 mustang and an 96 LT1 Camaro with 3.73 and loved it. My buddy had 2.73 in an ls1 trans am and it was just a dog up to 100.
The ls1 is a monster I had a 98 trans am bone stock auto and it was fast !!! I had a buddy who had a 01 gt auto with full exhaust and tune I still smacked him hard even gave him the hit and a car and a half still reeled him in lol unfortunately I had to learn the hard way before I got the trans am I had a 2000 gt 5 speed with just short headers my friend worked at a dealership with a guy who had a 02 trans am auto bone stock I talked so much shit I said you wanna go so there was this interstate by his job we got on there and I even jumped by a lot and he smoked me !!! about a month later I turned in the mustang and got the trams am 3 weeks later lol
Did you recalibrate your speedometer? 127 would be the corrected number. I had an S10 with 4.56 gears. The speedo would go to about 60 in first and then smack off of the peg violently as you hit second. That doesn't mean I hit warp drive but it looks like it on the speedo.
yep it makes me think that I want to buy a z28 and make it go a lot more faster to outrun the cops, but it won't be the best thing to do because they know where you are at all times.
Why did you go with the 3.43 ratio instead of a 3.73? I've always heard 3.73 is the best for Autos, but I want mine to pull as hard as yours lol, so I'm just curious..
Josiah Antonelli I also have 3" cutouts which really helps on the top end, the motor has never been touched ot has slp lid, ls6 intake as well and of course the gears. But i tuned it on e85 on the stock Injectors, 32°timing, 12.9 -13.1 afr. But that's it.
That's a pretty similar set up to what I'll be running.. electric cutouts, ssra, slp lid, ported TB, 3.42 gears on an A4, with a dyno tune, that thing should scream. Also pretty reliable...
I had a friend that had a 2001 z28 camaro that was real fast. I catch up woth him from time to time when I place flowers on his grave and the 3 passengers that was with him. They all graduated high-school the day before the accident.
Yes it was very fast, but it is still believably fast. 4.6 seconds 0-60, 10.5 0-100....those are all believable numbers. Take some mods, but he says he has mods.
Sounds like your trans is getting ready to go. Probably from letting it shift in 4th gear at full throttle. Big no no. And your stock valve train doesn't like shifting over 6,000 rpm.
the trans is actually in great shape. shifts very hard still. and I lifted all the way off the throttle and back on it in order to shift into 4th gear. otherwise I have the car tuned not to shift into 4th under full throttle.
This is completely believable with the catfish camaro. Most aerodynamic camaro to date, not really any heavier than something like a normal sedan, and a not stock over 350hp ls1, probably not stock rear end gearing. There's nothing hard to grasp about physics as to why this thing puts down sub 5 second 0-60 times.
