I bought a pair of Under Hoist stands last week, but I was not happy with the way that they sat. So I made them better by welding an extension on the base.
Hey Kev. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. It's nice to see ya. I feel better now that I have a little support under the truck. I really like it out in the Dog House.
Hey Kevin. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Yeah, it's nice to be back in the Dog House. I have backed off YT for the summer. I really don't watch many videos either. It seems like everybody just puts up videos so they can get a couple of bucks from RU-vid. Nothing but SHORTS. I hate short videos. They show me nothing. Well, I am not in it for the money. I want to see guys do something with their cars/trucks or fix things.
Great video. Nice update to the stands. Looks like it will definitely make them more safe. Enjoy the Ontario summer weather. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Hey Micky. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. I found that if a comment comes to my channel more than a couple of weeks after I post my video I don't get a notification that I have a comment. I hope that you will come back.
Hey Joe. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Well, if they made the bottom pipe smaller in diameter it would be better. Did you like the shirt that I was wearing?
Nice fix Andy!! Seems like the simplest fixes are always the best ones. I would expect if they had made that inside pipe 6" longer, it wouldn't have "broke the bank" !!! Stay safe !!!
Hey Pappa. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Well, if they made the bottom pipe smaller in diameter it would be better. I just welded a smaller diameter extension on the Bottom piece.
@@AndysDogHouse Yea!! Unfortunately, so typical these days. Not much thought/concern for quality, or functional effectiveness. Just get it out the door as cheaply as possible. Two pipe sizes that "nested" properly might have cost another two dollars to manufacture. ;o( Two bucks less profit on every sale ??? A "deal breaker" for sure !!!
Hey Glen. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Yeah, they sure were wobbly. I didn't feel safe using them at all. Well, if they made the bottom pipe smaller in diameter it would be better.
Thumb nail with the truck caught my eye. So I had to click, because I love old Dodge trucks. And agree everything is poorly made now days. Last set of simple jack stands required grinding and bigger weld/not liking the factory weld. I'll have to check out more of your videos. Going back through my "57 D-100, originally put together in the early '80s. I'm always looking for new ideas.
Hey Alcyr. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. It's nice to see ya. I feel better now that I have a little support under the truck. I'm glad that Some of my videos interest you. Check out video # 182. Story time.😊🍻
Hey Rat. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. It's nice to see ya. I feel better now that I have a little support under the truck. I have some catching up to do on watching YT.
Paid good money for a precise fit. Nothing irks me more than having to fix something new. I modified my transmission jack after it tried to cripple me.
Hey Wyatt. Thanks for dropping by the Dog House. Well, if they made the bottom pipe smaller in diameter it would be better. I sure feel safer now that they fit together correctly.
