How do you stop panic attacks happening?
If you’ve had a panic attack, it’s common to become fearful of having another one. And this fear can become all-consuming and lead to constant worry and anticipation of future attacks. And when this happens, it means you’re teaching your brain that your own anxiety is dangerous, it creates a vicious cycle in your brain that means you’re increasingly on the lookout for even the smallest sign of anxiety, and then responding to it with an increasingly exaggerated fight or flight response.
The good news is you can stop panic attacks happening. In this video I’m going to share 3 powerful steps that will help you stop panic attacks happening and long term help you break free all together. These steps will help you retrain your brain, with practice, so you don’t perceive anxiety as dangerous, allowing your fight and flight response to stand down more easily, and that’s the key to overcoming panic attacks altogether.

What strategies or coping mechanisms have you tried in the past to alleviate and / or overcome your panic and anxiety?

Realizing that it is a panic attack, telling myself that I'm ok, I meditate and do breathing exercises. I have good care providers I can talk to if I need to.

I can see how this technique could be really helpful. I specifically have panic attacks whist driving on the freeway or in construction or traffic. I’m not sure how this method can be adapted for when one is driving at highway speeds. Do you have any tips? Also, I have been doing your self hypnosis meditation for anxiety and panic for the last few weeks and it’s been helpful- thank you!

I tend to hyperventilate and feel like I'm suffocating during sleep. One time I was on a cave tour and we were up somewhat high and I felt dizzy. So I just focused on a spot in the distance until we left the area. It really helped as a distraction. Thanks for your wonderful videos💜

Mine start as soon as I wake up (maybe knowing ive got another day of unrelentless battle with my anxiety) so how can I identify what the triggers are?

As soon as you feeling it say inside i accept this feeling, these are just symptoms of anxiety and are not here to harm me. Acceptance is the key. Do it everyday. Trust me it will help.
