Why do panic attacks keep coming back?
In this video, we delve into the panic cycle-the vicious loop of panic attacks that keeps them coming back. You’ll learn about the panic attack cycle and why panic attacks develop and the difference between the trigger and the cause of panic.
This will help you understand how to break the connection between the unpleasant bodily symptoms and catastrophic thoughts which can lead to a full blown panic attack. Because the trigger for panic is different than the cause of panic and that’s important, because when you understand this, it makes it easier to intervene at any point to reduce your fight and flight response and therefore your worry about your bodily sensations.
And in the next video in this series, I’ll take you thought 3 simple steps you can do to stop panic attacks happening before they start:

Hi Andrew. I've been having panic attacks for almost 10 years since the sudden death from a heart attack of a close friend (who was told by doctors that his symptoms were anxiety). Any chest pain triggers an exaggerated response. Your explanation here is the best I've ever come across. I was nodding in agreement! I have subscribed and will be watching your videos from now on. Thank you. 🙏

Sometimes I hyperventilate while I'm sleeping. Feels like I'm suffocating. I tell myself I'm OK and try to control my breathing pattern until it passes.
