A Funeral Fight 

So the plaintiff started a fight at the funeral home with her niece/defendant, threw the first punch, got her ass handed to her, ended up getting hurt, and is now trying to sue for her damages. Sure, Jan.

Thank you for not breaking these up into several parts as some judge shows are doing. It’s such a pain I don’t bother watching them anymore.

I’m glad the younger sister had a sister who cared enough about her to get her out of foster care.

This is why people need to set up all these things in advance so family do not have to go through this. I see it all the time as a social worker in hospice.

The aunt definitely wanted there to be a payout. Thts why she was upset with the niece because she was willing to sign the bigger bill which would exhaust all the insurance money.

Auntie mad the family wanted every single penny to go towards the funeral services and she wanted to pocket that money

I love how the aunt tried to project her attitude to the neice. In the Plaintiff's own explanation she described herself as the antagonist. And I couldn't believe she tried to blame her neice for her chosen hairstyle.

What people need to understand is that the funeral is NOT about them. It is about the departed loved one. Knock off the drama and pay your respects. Then later on if you want to act like fools, have at it. So sad and ridiculous. Also, I stay as far away from toxic relatives and other toxic people as I can. If I do have to deal with them, I make it as short a time as possible.

If u really want to see how relatives true feelings. It's when someone dies. There is always that greedy relative. My sister recently passed and she didn't have life insurance. I automatically just volunteered to help pay for her burial. Other siblings didn't even think about helping yet they all on social media making it seem like they helped out. Me and my other sister decided to cremate her. I paid for it and we had a memorial that I also helped paid for. You would think that paying wouldn't be an issue with family. But it is.

I disagree when the judge say put it behind you, nope if you ever snatch me up and put your hands on me I am not dealing with them. Family or not

It is disheartening, embarrassing, and distressing to witness these young and mature women engaging in violence, immaturity, and disrespect towards the late matriarch.

From personal experience, a LONG history of family hurt, trauma, pain and unforgiveness, resulting in outbursts and at times violence, is not something one can " just put behind you", as the judge so eloquently stated!

If you listen carefully to the plaintiff, in the middle of her description she says that she threw the chair back first, and then after the defendant allegedly threw a punch at her, "and then that's when I went to her and grabbed her". I repeat, her own words, "that's when I went to her and grabbed her"! First of all, how does someone punch you if she's not already standing next to you? She "went to" the defendant. Her own sisters stated that she went after the defendant, then she says that wasn't true. But that's what she said herself! The truth is pretty clear when everybody says it.

Plaintiff is a nut head. Right when she spoke I already know she wasn’t going to win and I knew she was only wearing those gauge to make it look like she was suffering severely but those injuries she claim was from work only. Trying to bust out crocodile tears but couldn’t right when she started speaking lol. She doesn’t want to sign the funeral contract because she doesn’t have the fund(she even admitted to it) but than gets mad because someone else was willing to sign the contract and take responsibility for it. Lady, either you sign it or not! Everyone knows she’s the issue
