As someone who doubts their own attractiveness, I'm more than sure of it...but they are so cool and smart and like super interesting to talk to and adults don't rlly care about looks so that's why my friends receive more attention from teachers. painfully relatable. as a woman, im ALWAYS the ugly friend, the third wheel and the one who comes last. And this had made me think that men are the most superficial creatures on Earth (because it is always the looks that they care about), like they're all primal baboons. Happened to me when me and my friend (who was the attractive one) were at an anime store looking at stuff. Then this store clerk man who looks to be in his 20s came to us. He started talking to us about anime and stuff. But guess what: this clerk was paying more attention to my friend than to me, he was giving her more eye contact, more interested in her. I fucking tried to engage in this conversation with this clerk, but i felt as though i was invisible. I tried to cut in and did everything i could to be seen, but i just got dissmissed. The cleck wasn't even looking at me, ignoring what i was saying and putting everything all on my friend, just because she's obviously the prettier one, because she had all the features and shit. So i just gave up and walked away and waited till this conversation was done so we can buy our stuff and leave. But this cleck treated me like I was the garbage trash on the street. Never even looked at me, felt very insignificant, he never said a word to me as I was paying for my Hatsune Miku poster on the counter. But the cleck got so fascinated when my friend was buying a death note and he just went on this whole simping conversation with her on why she should buy it. It's literally nothing but merch. Idgaf abbout ppl telling me "aww dont say that about urself, u are beautiful" no i am not! Im ugly and i have evidence that it is true so no one should convince me otherwise unless it's genuine In general whether men are ugly or not, they are so entitled to ONLY wanna date or pay attention to good-looking women or women out of their league, only giving attention to the gorgeous bi*ch across the table wearing those skimpy clothes. Ive seen it a billion times and it pissess me off because men will never give plain/below average looking women the time of day even if these said women have really good personalities and are loyal. I mean im still straight, and i don't necessarily wanna go gay and all (thats a whole other stress in of itself lol). But as a below average straight woman, this is miserable for me, i highly doubt id find someone who genuinely finds me attractive. Sometimes i contemplate about changing my sexuality.
Me too. Purely for this reason. I’m always viewed as the garbage. People don’t care about taking good pics of me. They’ll take group pics and pick the picture that looks best for themselves and they completely disregard how I look.

Yesss good looking people will not know our feelings, no matter how we vent. I even have a handsome boyfriend, and he makes me feel inferior and overthinking every day. I once vented and cried about how ugly I was, and he just said "I don't like people who put themselves down." Sadly & unfortunately there's law for racism and people in general tend to hate a racist but there's no law for lookism and most people don't care about other people who discriminate human by appearance, even worse they will also judge this "not so attractive" people. Also IRL I've seen many lookism cases but only a few of racism cases (except in media). So...yeah lookism is real but people don't aware/care of it.
Ra*ism is just one subtype of lookism. The fact the other types of lookism are totally ignored is very telling. Everyone is lookist to some extent and people are uncomfortabe with admitting they are just animals driven by their millions of years old part of the brain.

To further complicate things...ageism is part of the mix. To these 60+ eyes you look quite good because you look young, no matter how you are judged within your peer group. If you were on a long sea voyage with men middle-aged and over you might be surprised at your popularity. A very different experience from being around people your own age. Lookism is real and it changes in different phases of life.
i found this cuz i felt so ugly today and its taking a toll on me and my relationship. im also 37 so if you hate your looks now wait till youre 37 haha.. i felt this throughout my life on and off though.. i think its important to focus on things that are neutral like nature. crooked trees arent ugly, i see you and i get it. but ive also rejected ppl based on their looks.. i guess we are here to learn how to get past societal standards

Yes, it's a thing, but it doesn't matter. Even ugly people are guilty of lookism. From my perspective as a man, you are easily a high 7 or 8 if you just get better glasses(which i see you figured out already). Far from ugly. If you are friendly and make yourself approachable, you can get just as much attention as most top 5% girls out there. In a world where the vast majority of women are cold and stand-offish towards men, it doesnt take much to be liked
Hiya. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I'm also British. Cuppa tea, governor? I'm not sure what's considered 'unattractive', if that means girls just don't wear makeup or deformed. I think that what 'unattractive' is? I do prefer to date girls who don't wear makeup. I have attracted girls in the past (I'm also deformed on the jaw), who do wear makeup and others that don't wear makeup, I've never dated the makeup girls. I don't think it's your looks as to me, you do look attractive and your voice does sound cute. Definitely will say you have a great pair of lips as they do look kissable. I would though most guys would like that? I'm dating a girl who doesn't wear makeup and has skin problems like whiteheads and dry skin and I love her nerdy personality. I feel like I can relate to someone. I did actually went for her first but she didn't to know. A while after, she started to be around me more and I was asked by her friends to babysit her during break in college. The more time I spent time with her, I did start to know her and fancy her more. She never had a boyfriend before either. I think most guys tend to fancy girls who wear makeup because that's what most guys consider to be 'attractive', looking like a model or a celebrity or something like that, which is ashame. You may over analyze image too much. I wish you could find someone you believe, that can hug you every day and call you beautiful and perfect the way you are. I don’t idolize attractive people. Yeah Id kill for those lips and flawless skin. My face looks like a droopy sponge or pumice stone from acne scars and I have thin narrow lips. I HATE my face! My eyes are sunken too. Ive been told I look like a corpse or a dog even when I was in my 20s.
I think your seeing something that is not there. Like braces? Makes you look young. Glasses? Makes you look smart. Makeup? Well sometimes i go for makeup. I used to go for makeup a lot when i was young but no makeup is good too. No makeup usualy does not win to makeup cause makeup uses pigments that are ment to grab your attention. Thats all. Dont be put off if you lose to someone in makeup. Its just more attention getting. There are people out there with real problems. You do not have a real problem. You have an uncomplete look. You just did not make yourself up before you left the house. My boss once saw me crying at work so he took me to do another job. He introduced me to a guy and i wont give you the guys detales but my boss came back and said, you do not have a problem. That guy you were working with, he has a problem. Your problems are nothing compared to his. Cheer up. You know there will be other girls. I dont want to tell you what the other guy looked like, but he did in fact have some verry real problems. Someone like you has a minor imprefection. And if you meet someone and you get to know them, you start to like there minor imprefections. They are the way you recognize the person. If we all looked the same, than nobody would be able to tell one and other apart. And there would be nothing that would make you unique.
