@@jerosagun2933 They reveal later that the reason Ichigo is the only one who can fight Aizen is specifically because he's the only one out of everybody who hasn't fallen under Aizen's Shikai, because anybody who had ever fallen under the ability of Aizen's Shikai will perpetually be under the effects of Aizen's Shikai. Because of this, Aizen cannot be using his ability here as Ichigo is not under the effects of his Shikai throughout the entirety of the show's and the manga's runtime
We know Aizen is at minimum twice the spiritual energy of an entry level captian here. We also know Ichigo is exhausted after his fight with Byakyua. Those two facts can give an explanation for exactly how Aizen caught Ichigo's blade bare handed. If I had to guess at full strength Ichigo at this point is maybe around the spiritual energy of an entry level captian. We know Zangetsu saved his bacon in his other two captian fights, letting him access power and abilities he did not concously have access to at the time.
Ichigo remembered this moment all the way until the series finale. He never forgot, and he never forgave. He took it personally. And on that one fateful day, he decided, "You know what Aizen, Imma yeet you across the map by your face and take back my themesong!" And he actually did it. The absolute mad lad!
not for nothing but then he also used everything including Final Getsuga giving up all his Shinigami powers and still couldn't kill Aizen, Urahara had to step in and seal him
@@vicc6790 He wasn't trying to kill him. At that point, the hogyoku was regenerating him faster than he could be damaged. Kisuke only needed to weaken him so he could use his Kido seal. Aizen got absolutely slapped and even acknowledged it as the hogyoku was rejecting him.
Little did they know, Aizen knew all along who will produce Bleach and therefore infiltrated the sound team and stopped the music at the exact time. True Story.
@@tvnawmayn9320 he wasn't ready for the entire anime lmao Dude VERY rarely defeated a recently found enemy. Usually he just loses the first (and maybe a second) time, and then gets a random ass power when he almost dies. He also spams the exclamation "uh-ah!" when the enemy is the one getting a power/showing his power
@@Krab17 It's already explained in anime, not to mention manga. His mom got "bitten" by one of the hollowfication experements, making him like a virus running in their blood. He just thought of it as an opportunity and didn't stop the hollow.
@@nemasisdemarini8339 Yeah, but the amount of trust he put into Ichigo was something else. He never showed him his sword release, incase it got stolen. I think Aizen was always meant to oppose Ywach
The most funniest part about this 1 single moment. Is that Aizen erased the theme song too the point where it only returned when Aizen was finally defeated and the theme song returned.
And when he comes back to defeat Aizen it's a sick cover that reflects the hardship he's gone through, the grimness he's assumed up to that point that is a kind of maturity (and in line with his final attack being utter darkness); the song isn't over the top like the original anymore, now it means business.
@@nathanieljohnson5430 He prolly took a nap, woke up after a long time and thought he messed up, only to see Ichigo barely made it a few feet across and then he just took another nap cuz he got so tired after that first nap.
In the manga this scene is so brutal, since you see how bad Ichigo's wounds were from this single cut (Ichigo was quite literally almost cut in half, so brutal).
Now watching it again, I realised that Aizen must have really really really gone easy on him 😅 there’s no way he can be too “shallow” at that non existent distance
It shows how insanely strong aizen is, Ichigo was a match for not one, but TWO of the strongest captains... and then gets effortlessly destroyed by a finger. 😮
@@charlesdale4026 Ichigo wins because of the plot🤣🤣🤣 Zaraki and Byakuya are clearly stronger than him right now (with what they showed in the Arrancar arc)
@@HETANIME It's canon that White lent Ichigo some of his power for those fights as he didn't want Ichigo to die, very obvious with Byakuya and in the Zaraki fight you can see a hollow figure appear in Ichigo's aura for a moment.
This was the moment we got a real taste of just how powerful _Josh Groban_ was, and that's after we saw just how ridiculously strong Kenpachi and Byakuya were.
'Number One' was so integral to the shows storytelling. The fact it became more warped and darker over time until it was just pure guitar really sold the kind of changes Ichigo's mentality was going through.
Because Ichigo needed to stop thinking he was Number One in order to grow his power. Only when his power matched his level of confidence he was able to bring the song back in full-swing. Truly amazing observation my friend!!
That's when you realize how much of a beast Shiro Sagisu is and how much he cares about the OST he makes (and it shows, the end result is just so excellent)
It had a great OST. Number one was always hype when it played and I loved the emotion "Soundscape to Ardor" has. They seemed to use it in almost every sad scene or one of building determination.
Neither of them had plot armor. Ichigo was always much more powerful then he let on because his spirit would hold him back until he needed more power. Aizen didn't have plot armor. He trained to be as strong as he was and became unstoppable through planning. Neither of them were accidents, unlike someone like Naruto and Sasuke who were just lucky a lot of the time.
I love the story telling from this scene. Ichigo from all boosts he got in this arc became a overconfident cocky teenager with his power, that was on the top of the world. Then he was shoved down back to the ground in this scene. Through Bleach Ichigo was always being reminded that alone he isn't all that. By the Fullbringer arc he finally maturated. The song lyrics themselves kinda shows some aspects of this trait of him too.
Ichigo: You hear that? That's my mixtape playin! That means I automatically win! Renji: You sure? Ichigo: Yeah it's like part of the anime rules! WE GOT THIS! LET'S GOOOOOO! Aizen: *hit's stop* Your iTunes account has encountered an error.
I think most people know this video but i think only some noticed that when ichigo was in dangai and stopped aizen sword, Aizen theme also stopped. Now that's revenge. Edit:my first ever 1k likes les goo
@Zazen if what your saying is true then it would've already happened. He was relaxed but not naive. It would be funny if he tried holding it with his finger and aizen chops it lol. Ichigo is a main protected by heavenly plot armor.
This scene makes the Mugetsu even better, cuz after Aizen move hell and earth to merge himself with a perfect hogyoku and feel like a god, Ichigo comes back so ridiculously stronger that no only he stops Aizen tecnique with his bare hands, but is so superior to Aizen than he can't even feel his power, Ichigo waited for that moment for a long time.
In the manga, it's actually way more brutal. In the manga, he literally cuts Ichigo almost completely in half, and the only thing holding his two halves together was his backbone.
And then Ichigo does the same basically when he goes up against him again after training in the dangai. Ichigo couldn't let it slide that easily and needed his payback.
Just like when he went full on Vasto Lorde on Ulquiorra and grabbed his face and threw him into the pillars above the canopy of Hueco Mundo in the exact same way that Ulquiorra did to him before killing him. He just HAS to get his revenge.
Anybody ever noticed we NEVER hear Ichigo's Theme Music play as a complete song after this? It kind of shows up in Hueco Mundo, but it's missing the vocals - HALF THE SONG IS MISSING. Aizen didn't just cut Ichigo in half - he cut his theme song in half too. Dude was way too fucking OP.
@@ombiance6542 I wasn't referring to those two seasons, it came later. I changed my comment from "Apparently *it* was a filler arc..." to "Apparently *there* was a filler arc..." because I can see where that might lead someone to conclude I was referring to clips from the video. I think it was the bount arc. My memory is hazy on it though.
Before I read the manga i always thought Aizen Reiatsu was so powerful Ichigo was hurt by the sheer difference between the of them. It's only later I realized Aizen actually cut him with his sword, but the anime sort of censor it by going extremely fast above the sword in the picture.
I don't think they meant to censor it, you can do more when you have actual movement on screen, and I think they wanted it to be so fast, that not even the viewer can see what happened.
The best part about Aizen is his backstory is almost nonexistent so we don't know what drove him to anything he does. Makes him even more badass to have a dude who come in from nothing and just rock's everything till the end.
@@nelsonoke3131 it is Because's bleach had less episodes and Shippuden had 500 but Shippuden had some really well animated episodes like madara vs alliance, kakashi vs obito and sakura vs sasori but the series' animation was mostly average and very janky where in bleach you had much more character acting animation and more action in short bleach had more consistent animation the whole series
@@danguy6591 well, he had some hopes in him. Even if it wasn't his plan at first. He wanted to see how Ichigo as a Shinigami Quincy Hollow Hybrid grows
I could be wrong but i think he's the only anime villain to ever stop the protagonist and their theme song, mid song lol This feat alone makes him the greatest anime villain of all time. Aizen shut down that music real quick lol
@@paulv7744 Yep, he has a nearly unmatched level of reiatsu at this point and the single most broken zanpakuto in the entire series. In a universe where you cannot harm someone that has a significantly greater reiatsu than you, he is in fact literally built differently.
To be fair, Ichigo is the only Soul Reaper/Quincy/Fullbringer/Vizard in the story.. so his limits are almost boundless.. just proper training took him a long way. His come up is even higher in the tybw
@@JesusChrist2000BC i think he actually got buffed right before that ironically. Power scaling in bleach is worse than dbz tbh. Like if dbz were that fast saiyan saga goku would beat frieza in terms of pacing. It’s still hype though so I don’t care
i just watched this for the first time a week ago. when the music kicked in i was like, yes another battle against a captain. then i saw the rest and i was just holding my head
Regardless of what anyone would say, Aizen is one of the best antagonists in anime Even though he doesn't have an emotional backstory like many other antagonists or that he doesn't really have a good cause for his actions, he's really cool The way he revealed his plans and that he's not only intelligent but also strong (Im gonna ignore the fact that he became too power-hungry towards the end and led to him getting locked up)
It’s absolutely hysterical looking back how a lieutenant that just got owned by a captain and ichigo who arguably lost against that same captain, just unlocked his bankai, etc We’re even trying to dream about attacking Aizen.
Well both of them saw Byakuya as the strongest in the soul society. Ichigo's battle was basically a draw though Renji's was decidedly lost. Technically if Ichigo didn't hold back his hollow powers he would have destroyed Byakuya but still.. Aizen was on a whole different level even before the Hogyoku merger
@@shadowproductions969 Point is Ichigo won with only a small part of his power and a 1 day bankai. Aizen is just absolute, but him attacking to gain time was absolutely brave, not fool. And Ichigo having self confidence was always a strong motif about him becoming stronger - the fight with gin literally yells that -.

Aizen kind of looks like the Kid in Class who purposely reminds the teacher of homework, knowing that not even himself did it, but just to make all other classmates suffer.
that moment when you realize that the one wearing plot armor in the whole series is Aizen all along, not even Ichigo could defeat him with his final plot armor and he practically defeated himself
Even though he didn’t know Aizen’s strength, Ichigo thinking he could take on a captain and 2 lieutenants whilst being completely in tatters from his previous fight is wild.
That was such a great use of the music to set the tone of how overpowered Aizen was compared to the rest of the cast. Most of the early Bleach series is a haze in my memory, but this etched itself deep due to just such a simple yet effective trick.
