Time to ramp up marketing in Los Angeles - a lot of Angelinos are seeing clear unsmoggy skies for the first time in a long time - which is spurring interest in EVs.
I'm from Brazil and I think about building my own 3 wheeler mini car for more than 15 years. You made it real with Arcimoto and I can't wait to see thousands of those trikes in the roads of the world and, sure, one in my garage. God bless you and please, come to Brazil with a good price!
Got two things out of this video. (others may get more that don't follow them) 1. There are "thousands of pre-orders" 2. Current/future focus in on volume production Though I thought #2 was the goal all along once they went production last September. (?) Perhaps I need to follow them more closely. Arcimoto - Stay safe, Stay strong, and Stay healthy!
Can you use it on golf courses? You could add a rack on the back for two sets of clubs. Maybe it would have to have a speed limiter feature. You'd put golf cart companies out of business.
Ben Wehrman - #LongFUV - Either long on $FUV or calling for elongated version of FUV or both. (Stretched FUV could carry stretcher, filling killer use case - Or should I say savior use case?)
When will the Arcimoto Rental company re-open in Eugene OR ? I would imagine a lot of people are interested in purchasing some sort of rental franchise!
Congratulations on getting over the production chasm. I know you have a lot on your plate, particularly making vehicles quickly and efficiently, but for certain applications 4 hour charging is too slow. I think being able to accept a full 40amps 240V level 2(9.6kw) would be awesome for things like the deliverator, or morning/afternoon rentals. The Level 2 chargers are both cheap to install, and numerous, and with your battery size you don't need 350kw CCS.
Congratulations on finally getting to market. I'm all for seeing these vehicles nationwide. Is there any thought toward flattening out the floor with a different battery configuration? I'm half past sixty. This would be appealing to me. Again, congratulations!
Make it small enough to drive inside a store, add a shopping basket to it. I longed for a two seated motorized shopping cart when I had to go shopping with my husband who had Alzheimer's disease. He was unable to safely control the motorized carts the stores have.
Love my FUV. Just kind of wish they'd gotten someone to come fix all the recall items *BEFORE* shutting down due to COVID-19, rather than introducing a long delay in which I can't use it.
@@arcimoto I have. I was told by email on March 20 that they would not be traveling to do recall fixes during the 'stay at home' order. My service appointment had been scheduled for March 23 at the time, which had itself been delayed since late February.
Arcimoto vehicles provide best-in-class weather protection with a full windshield, wipers, and panoramic roof, with additional door options currently in development. To see for yourself, check out our FUVn in the Rain Video at Arcimoto.com/allweather
I'm curious when the 12k version will be available (and its specs), and gas is so cheap now and for the foreseeable future must make this a harder sell as one would need to drive a lot of e-miles to save a substantial amount of money vs. maybe better savings in other countries or markets where gas is more expensive.
Looks to me that the deliverator its good to go. Compartment is big. 1st responder looked tiny, where would their equipment be placed? Maybe depends on size of equipment they need. But overall looks nice. Maybe a 4x4 in the future for recreational use. Idk for beaching.God bless your business. Hoping it grows.
arcimoto looks very good , , but what is the cost of it ; i live in mexico (Queretaro), and want one of them ; and can help you to sell the product here .... ; but maKE IT REAL .
As a delivery vehicle - ok. Would I buy one? Probably not. It’s nowhere near fast enough to replace my motorcycle and not cheap enough to outweigh the disadvantages. I’m never keen on FWD either. I can see the appeal to people who can’t ride a proper bike, or for local deliveries - especially mail services etc which here in Australia are often done with step-through bikes. Mind you - it couldn’t compete with the versatility of the humble step through where the postie never has to get off/out to put a letter in the mailbox. The extra width would prevent that. I’m not sure that it saves that much space on the road either since the largest amount of space is the safety gap left between vehicles, and it’s too wide to have more than one in a lane anyway. Parking could be easier because it’s so short, but to be honest it doesn’t look much shorter than a smart car.
My motorcycle is about twice the acceleration, and my EV is considerably faster, costing practically nothing to operate. I get that this is cheap for an EV, but for me it isn’t compelling. It seems like the extra width negates the advantages.
@@markedwards4879 And yet you can't stop drooling over the FUV under our videos. Mine is the fastest vehicle I have ever owned. I will never take it to the 84mph speed the mechanic hit. Small enough to fit three in one car parking space. Width =safety.
As an investor in your company and a salesperson I love the concept but I believe your choice of not offering standard car pedals and a steering wheel option is a huge limiting factor. Many people don’t know how or want to drive a motorcycle... you will get many more buyers by simply adding this option as soon as possible.
Driving an Arcimoto is easier than riding a bicycle. Takes about 20 seconds to learn the controls, one or two drives to feel quite comfortable. Much easier than riding a typical motorcycle. Once you try it, you will have zero problem selling it.
Wow $20K now? You can get a used BMW i3 for < $25K that seats 4 and has range of 120 miles plus gas for extended range and its a real small practical car
Yeah, I would have to agree. I can get 2017 off from caravan for 18K. This is a neat Idea and I think they will do well in the city environment. Possibly a replacement for scooters littering the sidewalks.
The operating costs of this are MUCH lower. Looking at the 5 year cost this will beat anything else. Add the benefits of flexibility of the form factor, and you get tangible value far beyond the fiscal return. And it’s fun. Functional and fun and fiscally sound are the factors for exponential growth. The world wants see those production lines humming (even if some of us don’t know it yet)!
@@eskipo Plus, you are doing something good for the earth - always a bonus (if you give a crap). China needs these more than us but we can all benefit.
Arcimoto's competitors in the recreational 3-wheeler category enjoy annual six digit unit sales despite being inferior in many ways, eg: the 2-seater Polaris Slingshot. One appeal these have is speed (from a 2.4L 4-cyl gasser) and I imagine the FUV is perceived, if noticed at all, as not comparable recreationally. And Arcimoto's marketing is .... well, OK for Boomers. I think Arcimoto should take a page from Tesla and dedicate the resources needed to creating a cranked up FUV (the FUV-PRO to use current year conventions) as a smack down to the gassers. It should have 0-60 < 5s and a top speed of 125 (that of Slingshot). Maybe the rear wheel could be fitted with a hub motor optimized for launches, to achieve 5s without upgrading the front drive train beyond increasing wheel size and changing software.
Just love it. My wife needs a shopping runabout. Since the rear tire isn’t used for drive or steering they could have put 2 rear tires about 20 inches apart and made the front a bit narrower. Would probably be more stable too.
What a hateful lying troll you are. The first bad collision has already happened. He walked away with only bruises after a full sized pickup rammed him. No helmet needed. I just mangled YOU.
Doors... though.. for climate control to work? FCEV for 3x the range? China robotics manufacturing for under $10K MSRP? Ommisions like this I don't understand you'll have to forgive me. The technology to complete it exists.
In a day in age where we are tearing down statues that symbolize hate and bigotry, Arcimoto just gifted Mark Wahlberg, a convicted racist, an Arcimoto loaded with birthday gifts. Mark Wahlberg beat and BLINDED a Chinese man to near death. He never apologized and never helped that man later in life. Mark is a living man, not a stone statue, and you still stroke his ego? I could never in good conscience invest in a company that supports such blatant racists. I suggest you all do the same.
First, let us be clear: Arcimoto absolutely supports an end to police brutality and systemic racism in this country and around the world, period. We are fighting for environmental justice, and that is interwoven with racial, social, sexual, and economic justice. We must all work together, from all walks of life, to solve these problems. Regarding Mark Wahlberg, we applaud his efforts to reconcile for the crimes of his youth, as well as his long history of community service and philanthropy. www.pri.org/stories/2017-01-12/reconciliation-mark-wahlberg We value Mark as a customer who supports our mission to usher in a new era of sustainable transportation. In the war against fossil fuels and toxic air pollution, every mile matters, and we need all the help we can get. We hope you will join us.
There is a windshiled and a roof. That is enough in most climates. There are no marauders in the US. If you fear protests, avoid them. This vehicle needs no key - touch the screen and it goes nowhere without your code to unlock. And you are strapped in tight, there can be no grab, drag and ejecting you by a thief.
No. The average price of a new car in 2022 is $46,000. Used car prices are up 40% and new ones sell above list. Into that market an $18K autocycle is a winner. No gas, oil changes, and the insurace rate is just 20% of the cost of a car policy. Winning! 5000 deposits now.
This product has not been delivered to the consumer in over a decade....how long are you going to sell this bag of air? I put in a reservation over 2 years ago and there is still not plan for delivery! They have stolen investors money with promises.
Rick Campbell did you actually watch the video? We began customer deliveries last fall from the factory and have built more than 100 production vehicles to date. We are now planning the next stages of scale production to deliver at a faster rate.
No. Not even close. Tuktuks are filthy polluters with no safety design and a far lower top speed. The price is less than half of the average car price in the US in 2022.
