I believe I am a social 8w9. I am super calm, and look towards meaning in life. Can be dangerous if not discipline within one's self. I learned someone physically hurt, and scared a family member of mine one time in the past. He named-called me attacking my ego as well. I wanted to fight him, but I'm also juggling with obeying the law for a smoother life. On a drive home, my mind scanned through ways to avenge successfully from a minor scale, to a large scale. I counter-planned for potential retaliation, in multiple scenarios. In general, I found myself assembling calculated war plans with a guy I hardly knew, and wanted to destroy, because he traumatized someone I cared for. In the day, I decided to let it slide to keep the harmony going. I can have a strategic mind with an unstoppable willpower if channeled, but through personal wisdom.. I understand that the world moves in a motion of flow; where positives and negatives of life are both systematically crucial within experiences, in order to create/host/evolve life through time. Evolution's motivation for growth, is also triggered from the avoidance of Pain. Ying Yang Everyone takes part of creation as a whole, so who am I to say my influence is more grand of a vision? Life should just be enjoyed, and we should protect this joy for our future generations. I am meaningless in the scope of time, but I want to leave a mark protecting the future generations experience of what life would be. My personal understanding of how life flows, dismisses my rage to perform action against another person in disharmony. I will verbally protect myself and those within my physical senses though. I can instead uplift other's confidence to have them protect themselves and their own futures as well. I wish to die uplifting, feeling others emotions rise for their betterment, rather than to be controllingly demanding of changing the influence. I wish to not sow disharmony upon others or my life.

I’m an 8w9, for me it’s, seemingly approachable, distrustful but won’t let you know that, actions first but I let less people know about it. I prefer to tell people after the fact or not at all. I find 8w7 are more loud about their decisions and discuss their actions with others more. I really appreciate being alone at home to do what I want because I am aware that expressing my actual emotions/opinions have consequences so with others I try to modulate my intensity- which takes a lot of energy. I like to argue but don’t want to waste my time with people who can’t receive it well. I am more patient outwardly but I’m often boiling over throughout the day. If 8w7 is blunt most of the time, I am cordial and nice most of the time and tolerate mistakes and weaknesses from others outwardly until I know it will affect me longer than our 10 second interaction, then you will know what you “did wrong”. More like a 3 strikes youre out kinda thing. I am mostly concerned about the people that I love, my small circle, and vulnerable people. If someone were to cause them problems, the anger is immediate. I feel “I can handle whatever you throw at me because you don’t matter when it comes to getting what I want, but if you touch my friend you will know you messed up.” I’m more asleep to my own needs like rest, affection, support, especially when I’m stressed. I listen first, then I voice my concerns, if they aren’t listened to it escalates, slower than 8w7. My 8w7 friend says I’m more into “stirring the pot” in comparison to how she does things up front. Something similar happened to me. Everyday I seem to test as a different number. My understanding is that the 5 results means you're going through a difficult time in life n it's making the 5 behavior show up. I've definitely tested into that too. Best of luck to you

I'm loling at the taking shoes off in restaurants 🤣 so wings are just as personal as the main type which means that it's hard for others to "diagnose" someone's wing. It's best if you focus on your own wing and he does the same! Ask him to take notice of how he deals with situations when they arise. Do they align with an 8w9 or an 8w7?

Watching this video actually had me confused about my own type (9w8) but reading this comment made me realize how 9 I am. I usually do the cooking at home and have my own way of doing things. So, my sister was making food the other day, and asked my help, and she'd ask me what to do, and I my whole approach was 'just go with the flow'. She's a 6 and she was a little pissed with me.

For me it's the opposite. I learned to act more like a w9 because I'm surrounded by sensible people most of the time 😑 but I feel more comfortable really being 8w7.

It's all about core motivations! Do you resonate more with the fears, desires, weakness, and longing of a type 8 or type 9?
