My mom is a massive 1 and this video was very accurate. If someone has a too large of a vehicle parked in a small car spot, she'll leave them a scolding note on their windshield. When I (5) pointed out to her that it's not her responsibility to worry about that and that there is parking enforcement, she replied "well if they were doing their job, I wouldn't have to!" When I pointed out that these reckless parkers most likely know that they're parked in the wrong spot and just don't care, she was absolutely dumbfounded. She could not comprehend how anyone could do such a thing.

I'm a 1w2 and I cracked up at the cookies and advice scene :D I don't actually like Emma Watson, though...cause she doesn't match my morals XD That's definitely me when I know my friends are hurting--listen to them, grab a meal with them, do the dishes for them...and remind myself that they probably don't actually want to know how I think they can fix it--they just want me to listen! I am constantly thinking of how I think they should do things differently and reminding myself to not say it! I think one of the things that's often overlooked is how a 1s wings help balance out the 1s judgemental side. A pure 1 would be extremely judgemental, but as a 1w2 who has a close 1w9 friend, I think the wings can really help balance us out. For example, the 1 thinks you're doing it wrong, but there's enough 9 to stop you from actually confronting the person and telling you to change. Or as a 1w2, I get frustrated with people for not meeting my expectations, but getting angry at them would not only be wrong but it also wouldn't be very loving, and so my moral compass and my drive to love people keep me from voicing my frustrations. In short, as a 1w2, I am driven to be perfect--especially in how I love others. Anyway, thanks for the video! I was hoping you'd do one of these for the 1s!

I don't think I've thought of the wings as balancing us out that way before (I'm a 1w9), but I like that! I might add that our levels of health probably play a role in that too. I generally agree though, like whenever I'm in a position to provide feedback, I will always start with something positive or something they did well in order to soften whatever criticism I have coming, and even that part I try to be as gentle with it as possible. So for the healthiest of us 1s, yes I'd say the wings absolutely do help (and I can see how the 2 wing would do it too). But when we're not healthy, I don't think it matters what our wing is - the anger comes out and we're gonna be judgemental and harsh no matter what. And then we'll eventually feel bad about it.

I’m an ESTJ 1. I resonated with wing 9 because I was mistyped as a 5, while facing social struggles. After healing and finding I’m also an extrovert, type 5 doesn’t relate so much and here I am. Wing 2 resonates because of the extroversion and getting things done but I really don’t focus much on caring for people as a whole, just my loved ones

I mistyped as 5 as well. What made me reevaluate was doing some social healing and realizing I’m totally an extrovert, and that the 5 traits were just me under extreme social stress

It's honestly challenging for me to decide which enneagram I am. I've tested as a 5w6 enneagram, and as a 1 with 6 & 9 possibilities in another test. I relate to all of 5, 1, 6 and 9 descriptions. 🙃

Congrats on finishing the series, Abs! Victory! Been waiting on this for a while because I plan my characters based on enneagram type. And no one does the enneagram better than you! Now my type 1 characters have a proper reference. Writing aside, I definitely identified with 1w9 (was mistyped as a 1w9 for 2 years). But after various mistyping, I now know for sure that I am in fact a 4w3. My ultimate goal is to have balanced wings :-) P.S. Lemon Drop is so freakin' cute, I can't stand it!

This is great content. I am an ENTJ 1w9 sx/sp who had been mistyped as INFJ 5w4 sp/sx, then INTJ 5w6 sp/sx and then INTJ 5w6 sx/sp. 1w9 looking like 5s is extremely accurate!

No matter how much comparison I watch, I just can't get which wing I'm in. I'm an Advocate on paper, but I wouldn't say wing 2 is me, I do have strong opinions, but I'm also able to see the grey areas and accept them. I am analytical and like to think subjectively, but I don't really avoid conflict and I just flat out say my immediate opinion without trying to dress it up. It more so feels like I have traits from both sides instead of aligning with left or right.

Is it possible to have both 1w9 and 5w6? I took 3 tests. 2 of them scored exactly the same with 5 and 1 tied at 95% and 9 was at 93%. The other test was kinda weird with 6 at 100%, then 5 at 99%, then followed 9 at 96% and 1 at 93%. Do the rest of you guys have numbers like this?

Did you figure out the answer to this question? @Logan I’m likely a 1 and while I don’t experience my own adhd as ‘really bad’, I do think that being a 1 makes my relatively mild case really feel way worse than it is. So it might not be the same thing, but I am curious to hear what you’ve found

@@ghostofpast550 Definitely not those two. I try to do well, and hate chaos, but my forgetfulness and sluggishness and easy overwhelm get in the way. I'll probably eventually move somewhere quiet and out of the way where I can get some peace, and not be berated constantly for things I can't control.
