Thorias! It's not logic that's the weakness! Season 1 Kate is appalled by being shot point blank by a male thug. Two episodes later, walks off being ran over by a mack truck. Presuming that the driver is male. The vampire episode Kate is incompacitated by pepper spray weilded by a woman for the rest of that night. Now Ryan gets her ass handed to her by a red hair woman with batons, regular folding batons. Women is batwoman's weakness the entire time!

Ryan and her brother are a year apart. Jada didn't waste any time to have an affair and have another child after just giving birth. The brother just worms his way in to Wayne Enterprises after meeting his sister 5 minutes ago.

Logic was buried in a incredibly shallow grave since S1 of this show.

Yeah, so about Ryan being selfless... Putting aside Mary's general incompetence as a human being and trusting an AI she knows nothing about, we have a situation where team medic declares a team member unfit for duty, and Ryan's reaction pretty much being "I don't care if this puts his life in danger, I need him and my needs are the only thing that matters". Ryan's still being Ryan here, I'd say.

They had to let red lady go; they didn't want to assume she was straight. If red lady is gay, then she did nothing wrong. It's weird that Batwoman seems to be improving, somehow. Then again, it's not too difficult to do a little better when you start below rock bottom.

Look on the bright side, Batwoman is canceled after this season. You can then move on to CW's other quality shows.

The batsuit's inconsistency as armour is surprisingly constant. Estrogen in batwoman seems to be what gives superpowers in this show.

To be fair, PowerGirl has the same weakness…. Organic material can stop PowerGirl, literally a stick can stop her but artificial things are not a problem… This makes sense for this insane show, sticks are OP.

They want to make a good show (or what they think passes for one), now that the lawyers will be breathing down their neck about the Ruby Rose issue. Either they kicked Caroline Dries out of the room, or she's taking a hands off approach to deal with these new legal problems.

Logic isn't a weakness for Batwahman. Logic walked out the door and never came back before season 1 episode 1 even aired.

Here's what I'd like to see in my lifetime: a live-action Batman series that actually has *gasp* a Batman who isn't a kid or hasn't disappeared for some reason. Shocking idea, apparently.

Dee Smithy is a character from Bruce Timm's Batman animated series. She worked for the police, stole some gadgets from the evidence locker, and took on the female heroes and villains in this Gotham Girls web series. She was known as Dora. Nora and Dora. So, the writer changed it to Dee. She took Victor's armor and fought Batgirl later on, used his freeze gun. She fell into some blue pool of liquid freeze ray formula? Something Freis made that might be off whatever changed him. So, she was put in a fridge and locked away in Arkham. Supposedly, she later became the Killer Frost in the Justice League cartoon. Same look, same voice actress, and ice powers. So, the writer must have had some knowledge of the character from that show. If Dee spent years studying the madman's journal, it wouldn't be too off that she learned some things by the time Nora got out. A lot of years passed where she could have been researching and studying these things while Nora was on ice and then after when she started aging rapidly. I liked hearing Luke point out that Mr. Freeze was a scientist and had a PhD, should've been Dr. Freeze. I think the original Mr. Freeze was a bank robber from the comics. I was amazed he rescued Ryan. I really thought the white jerk in the beginning was going to die because he missed the bus. Instead, he's like gloating. The writing credit goes to Nancy Kiu, who wrote two or three episodes each season. So, this isn't some new writer. I'm not sure what's up, because the tone was different.

I am happy the show does not seem to relent on stupidity and lack of morality - but those few subtle making sense alarm bells Thorias pointed out are a bit concerning.

Are the Batwoman writers just now watching Thorias? Too late now. All their earlier inconsistencies was so weird...trying to well...try is just really weird

But Thorias, you have watched Dune. Fear is the mind killer and the Spice must flow. Hence, you must continue watching Batwoman.

Okay, so as another person who watches the show, because I hate myself, I wanted to point out a detail that Thorias seems to have missed: In the scene when Sophie is trying to keep Ryan awake, the camera briefly shows the batsuit readings on the big screen. Ryan's CORE temperature is at about 85.5F degrees. Towards the end of the scene, about 45-60 seconds later, the screen reads it as 81.2ish. This was Ryan's core temp when Luke opened the tube. In the very next scene, Ryan is driving the Batmobile and is functioning and talking just fine. In reality, if your core temp drops below 85 degrees, it's called "Severe hypothermia" and the cure for it is going to the hospital and staying there. Recovery is a long, drawn out, and tedius process (You could destabilize at any time!) because you literally can't warm a person back up very fast because you might put them into shock, cardiac arrest, or, you know, literally cook them. In the show, this issue is resolved by a commercial break. I'm not gonna lie, when the show had about 10 seconds of the batmobile tearing down the highway immediately afterwards I thought "Oh shit, is the show taking this seriously??? Are they going to the hospital?????" Cut to the interior, and Ryan is driving. Lol, no. Honey, you dead.

Something 'normal' happens, something trademark stupid happens. Then repeat until episodes ends. But I can't deal with the car chase. She climbed into the trunk to throw bomb out the back when she could have just done the cool action movie thing of throwing a bomb out the window. No fucking wonder there's been at least 2 serious injuries on set. The poor crew...

the writers incompetence and lack of logic have broken the space time continuum and inadvertently recreated the multiverse. this is the new Earth-2 which is the complete opposite of the original continuity. its the first of 51 new parallel universes. dont worry though, we will go back to Earth-1 here soon enough.

I said this on the last video and I'll say it again. I'm calling it now that Bruce either straight up forced himself on Ryan's mom or used his position of power to coerce her into things and that's why Ryan's mom didn't want to keep Ryan. She couldn't stand the constant reminder of her trauma.

Was the baton made of brass? (Joke kinda loses air when it turned out you listed all of the previous "weaknesses" after I wrote this remark and unpaused the video.) Nora was unfrozen three years ago and appeared in her mid-thirties, but then aged rapidly over the next three years. That lines up with her appearance in Elseworlds. Huh. That's actually surprisingly good continuity for the Batwoman writers.

I absolutely love these reviews for Batwoman...After they wrote off Kate Kane I stopped watching...I have not watched a single episode of Batwoman from season 3, but I do enjoy how you rip each episode to shreds & expose the show for what it has become. 👍👍👍😎

My guess is that if the pattern fits its going to happen most likely. Mary is going to be evil just like Kate for a bit. That's why she was being put down at most points in the episode. Luke has be shown doing better because in the end Luke has to save brainwashed Mary while Ryan takesdown Poison Ivy mainly because they "setup" the love interest of these two so it would seem like a more important battle than it really is. Given the background and the news report Ryan's bio mom hired the goons and is probably trying to use the cyro tech to make herself immortal making her the permanent ceo of blah blah company. Since she "inherited" the company it's possible she covered up the birth and affair so the original ceo didn't divorce her ass since he had a prenup that would make her loses probably as broke as her daughter was. Since Ryan's brother is not evil he will be let into the batwoman circle and when the mother is defeated or behind bars he will takeover blah blah company which will have some kind of perk but I can't remember what that blah blah company does.

There’s a new Star Trek show. Star Trek: Prodigy feels more like Star Wars: Rebels than anything really Star Trek, but in a vacuum it’s pretty good. Interesting characters, imposing villains, and decent world building in the first episode (though I’m not sure how accurate it it to real Star Trek lore). And little to no social Justice nonsense as far as I can tell. I’d recommend checking it out.
