BATWOMAN 3x04 REVIEW | One Of the WORST Episodes Of the Series! 

Ryan calls Wayne Enterprises "her business"? Seriously? I'm pretty sure I remember in Batman Begins and a few other version of Batman, it stated that Wayne Enterprises isn't even Bruce's business. He's the caretaker of the legacy of the Wayne's not it's owner. Hell, in Batman Begins, Alfred gives Bruce shit right before the climax because it's not just Bruce's legacy it's "his father's legacy...and it's all the left of him." So yeah, once again Batwoman writers...eat a fat one.

My favorite part of the episode by far was when they put the frozen girl in the room-temperature clinic and then it came as a "sudden twist" when she started to thaw out. Literally none of these characters considered the the fact that the frozen thing would melt in room temperature. I'm pretty sure that's the single dumbest moment from these characters.

Journalist: "Hey! That man is kidnapping a woman!" Boss: "Just ignore him. That happens all the time here."

Is anyone really surprised they wrote Luke out of being Batwing so soon? This PTSD thing was just a lame excuse cause they had no plans for him as a hero they only rushed it for season two to make headlines, now were 4 episodes in and he's already thrown in the towel, if only Batwoman would quit that easily

Batwoman: the show that punishes you for being a rational, thinking human being.

Here's the biggest thing the "writers" seem to forget is being a CEO of a multibillion dollar corporation typically means 80-100 hour work weeks to keep said company so rich. It's why Bruce oversaw but did not actually run Wayne Enterprises. He was the "rich playboy living off the company money" but he wasn't making the big decisions. Lucius Fox did that lifting.

So let me guess, there's absolutely no explanation how Mary, a semi-competent medical doctor at best, has an knowledge of reversing and preventing cellular degeneration in the field of advanced cryonics?

Being Bruce Wayne with tits has always been the shows thing. At least in so far as you can say Ruby Rose has tits. Batwoman in the comics has her things. Her own equipment, rules, villains, side characters, etc. In this show they just ignored all of that and slotted her right into Bruce's place, up to and including giving her his actual batsuit and cave. Because they have such great respect and love for lesbian characters. They even gave her Batman's no kill rule (theoretically anyways) which comic Batwoman doesn't have. Being perfectly willing to use lethal force if deemed necessary (she straight up killed Clayface).

It’s four episodes in and I already miss Jacob a lot, without him around Batwoman is just infuriating without any Ray of Hope.

So Batwoman, the show so anti-racist it involved ACAB into an episode, included its first hispanic character from DC comics, Renee Montoya...And they make her be incredibly lazy, leaving Alice off to be taken care off by irresponsible idiots whenever she can. The beloved latina with immigrant Dominican parents is the laziest character in the show... ...Maybe the only way this show can be killed off is if we accuse them of being racist against hispanics

Me: so how bad is Batwoman? Az from heelvsbabyface laughs like the Joker. Thorias looks like he's about to commit suicide. Me: that bad, huh?

I'd say that the whole thing with Mary and Poison Ivy was the writers doing a slow build towards playing a long game that will pay off in the season finale, but I remember how they tried and failed epically with that last season, so I'm not holding my breath with that.

I've been a man for almost 40 years... Never once have I heard a man tell a woman to smile outside a photographer telling a model during a shoot or or a director telling an actress during a rehearsal. Not. One. Time... Is this an "only in America" thing or is it completely made up bulls#it?

This is the only and best way for me to watch Batwoman, I'm never gonna waste money watching it myself and this guy has some genuine insight and it's always an entertaining laugh, been watching since the Suepergirl review and will continue until the end of time.

Just a friendly reminder, Gotham also had frozen people, alot of them infact, And those effects were Pheonimal for tv..... the fact that gotham a "Hated" show has better story ,effects and acting meaning the "Beloved" batwoman show looks like this.... you gotta wonder what people are smoking sometimes

Amazing to think that Kung Fu movies of the 70's had more sense, logic and substance than Batwoman. And actual heroes to boot.

The Black Glove was introduced in Batman RIP and Bruce's girlfriend at the time, Jezebel Jet, was working for them. Why they would be freezing people is beyond me. The writers are just Googling Batman lore and picking names from a hat at this point.

Personally, I just love the fact that they not only move Sophie's sister, they actually change her from a sitting upright position to a laying prone position DESPITE the fact that the cold open for this VERY episode clearly showing that any attempt to forcefully move the limbs of the people that are frozen will cause them to completely shatter. It takes a hell of a lot of effort to screw continuity so badly that it can't even function half an episode. Though considering last episode they had continuity breaking down between frames maybe I shouldn't be too suprised.

Seriously,I had emotional whiplash when Ryan said that they can't move Sofia's sister...and literally the next scene,she is Mary's abortion clinic (CLEARLY MOVED!!!). Man,this show was dumb. At this point, i simply watch it for reaction videos like this.

I would’ve much rather they used The Court of Owls, but it’s for the best they didn’t use them. I’m also gonna repeat something I said in Az’s comments: I think Mary will turn out to be Poison Ivy 2. Those vines had to have done something to her so Mary can be a hero in Team Bat also.

Just how forgettable is Batwoman that, when Thorias is recapping Mary being dragged away by vines, I am just going, "Dafuq you talking about?"

Batwoman is a God awful Series that is both challenging my intelligence and bringing me pain and suffering with high levels of boredom,this episodes is one of the many examples of it and so much more,we stay strong everyone as well as Thorias Unlimited with I give you my respect and support to this madness.

I'm torn. I hate this show, and everyone involved, and wish they would fade into obscurity and be fired, but I want to support you and the others who watch and review it, because you legitimately do good work. As a Batman fan, even /hearing/ about it brings about violent fantasies, due to the incredible insult to my favorite superhero. When will we get the mass firings, as DC? They are killing legends, and bragging about it. I would pay good money, to see a competent Bruce Wayne, not the milksop they cast, for this universe, come in and remove everyone from his kingdom, physically, if necessary. Any good will they might've drummed up, from the previous episode is squandered, in one episode. Amazing.

This video series is the only reason i want batwoman to be renewed for another season. it may be classified as a war crime against you but your pain is our pleasure 🤷‍♂️

How the hell is it her business? She's just a temporary CEO and not a WAYNE well hopefully not. In a ideal world Damien would come in wrestle control from these idiots and cast them out of Gotham like God cast the fallen angels into hell. Also if this were the comics they would be the BAD GUYS nothing they do is remotely an example of heroism.

Yes Thorias, you were right. Alice DID have a conditional release since episode TWO but like everything else in this show continuity means nothing.

Microwaves technically heat things from the inside out, and look how well that works on flesh in general... Frankly the reason we haven't tried true cryogenics isn't because we can't freeze someone solid; it's because we haven't figured out two key points - how to make sure they survive the process, and how to thaw them back out. This says nothing of the fact that dropping someone's core temperature doesn't actually prevent cellular aging enough to get maybe more than perhaps an extra year if we could perfect the process. Freeze a pack of meat and see whether it's still good even a month after you take it out of the fridge. (It's highly questionable unless it's been made into Pemicen - and I don't recommend that with a human) * The anti aging effect of cryo-stasis which is what it should actually be called, is more the fictional part in "science fiction."

Nah, the Black Glove is the Black Glove. They’re *another* Gotham secret society ruling from the shadows. Batman fought them in the comics during Grant Morrison’s run, which introduced Jezebel *Jet,* Jada’s comic counterpart. Btw, she‘s part of the Black Glove and seduced Bruce in the comics, gaining his trust as part of the Black Glove’s plan to break him. He got over it and kicked the snot out of them.

"Freeze serum?" Is that supposed to be something that somehow works like "internet gas," or a magic mushroom teleport warp drive, or creating an autonomous "living being" from a brain spark?

The Black Glove Society was a thing in the comics, but there they were just a collection of rich assholes who owned an Island where they hosted a secret personal hunger games every year with people they've kidnapped. Nothing about them being the secret group who controls Gotham and looking for immortality.

You know, the real question isn't what Renee Montoya is doing in this show, it's why she wasn't in the show from the beginning. IIRC, she was one of Kate Kane's primary love interests in the comics, but instead of using her the writers of the show created Sophie for... some reason. Maybe WB had plans to use Montoya somewhere else like that rumored GCPD show, or maybe they didn't want to make Montoya a Crow instead of a police officer. I don't know, but it still seems bizarre to me that she wasn't written as Kate's primary love interest from the start.

Ok so I may not be the sharpest lightbulb in the toolbox but years ago I once saw a documentary show talking about scifi tech and if it's possible to achieve it anytime soon. Invisibility cloaks, teleportation pods, laser guns etc. When they got to the subject of space travel they surmise that it would only work if we froze ourselves during the voyage and that's one of the bigger issues. Basically your cells are little water balloons so If you're not careful when freezing someone, you pretty much killed them right off the bat. When you thaw them out, theyll have massive cellular damage throughout the body including the brain and heart So Mary saying to thaw them from the inside out is a retarded suggestion. Have you microwaved a frozen chicken? Same concept you cosplayer of a doctor lol Dont get me started on Ryan being the CEO of Wayne enterprises. That is automatically illegal and borderline incompetence right there lol

Fun fact, since Mr. Freeze has been canonically freezing massive numbers of people for decades ON THIS SHOW and the GCP and Batman have been SAFELY unfreezing them then the method for doing so is a matter of PUBLIC record! I guess Drives forgot the cannon she set up just last episode.

The subplot about Wayne Enterprises ALONE proves that the writers know NOTHING about business or economics.... and people wonder why California is a cesspool.

The moment in this episode that encapsulates the writers' utter disregard for their supposed craft came in Jordan's apartment, when we clearly see the front door and windows opposite of where Ryan apparently teleports to save Alice and Sophie. Where did she come from, exactly? If not the front door or the windows, where? Before you say "bedroom windows," ask yourselves why she'd choose that route (assuming there were a window) and how she gained entry without either Sophie or Alice hearing glass breaking. The whole thing looks like something you'd expect from the shoddiest MST3K experiment.

Mary's setup is actually kinda funny when you think of it. Every time she comes just BARELY within reach of either complying with the law or being actually possible in real life she takes a deliberate step away from it. Like with her residency. She STILL isn't technically a doctor yet and has to complete her residency at a LEGAL hospital under the supervision of license physicians in order to get her OWN license to practice medicine. Instead, she immediately stops all of her own training, fun fact med students don't complete all their learning in med school, cuts off all her ties with legal medical professionals, and goes back to running her underground clinic. Its the equivalent of someone spending tens of thousands of dollars to try and become a mechanical engineer only to quite a single semester before obtaining their degree so they can work on selling used cars with refurbished engines they salvaged from junk yards themselves. Not only does in make no sense, its effing dangerous to their customers.

I can't wait to see the ratings for next weeks episode because this episode had over 0.521 viewers and the episode before had 0.417.

I wouldn't have guessed it. My theory was the mom was being selfless, protecting her daughter from something, like her husband or his organization. Her actual plan is insane and beyond stupid. I'm starting to wonder if the writers are some A.I. program or a bunch of monkeys in a room with typewriters.
