I reckon she doesn't ACTUALLY care as much about "the children" as she wants everyone to think she does. Kids with neglectful parents have MUCH bigger issues than "triggering" content on the internet. It's not RU-vid or EC's job to deal with those cases, take that up with CPS. Also, how would a kid without parents/guardians even have access to unregulated internet? Who would be paying for their smart phone, wifi, or tablet? lol.

This makes me feel like my irrational hatred for makeup channels and the related drama nonsense is justified.

If a parent is "too busy" to keep tabs of what their kids are doing online, they should stop paying for an internet connection. Just get a data plan on your own devices and keep them with you at all times.

I'm sure many people have already said this but even the person she references (Of Herbs And Altars) absolutely changed their original stance on Eugenia due to what they went through during their own relapse. Their most recent video on Eugenia seems like gold standard to ACTUALLY help people struggling with ED by being kind, complimenting things not related to their body, and the suggestion on YT having a mute word filter for content creators so they can have a barrier from the hateful people.

Pastel Belle has the same kind of energy as JoySparkles masking their obsession with “fixing” people as healthy criticism and feeding their hero complexes and egos with their delusions of the monster they create in people. It’s so gross.

I think Belle uses EC as thinspo so she projects that onto everyone else. She knows she purposely triggers her own ED by watching EC. That's what I think. I could be wrong and if I am I will own it but I don't think I am.

on her video someone said they consistently leave comments on Willy's videos calling him an incel, not surprised these are the types of people we're dealing with, but this really is one of those moments where you just couldn't make this stuff up - she and her subscribers check every box on the 'making the issue about men vs. women' list, don't know if I love it or hate it...

I feel like if she’s going to make as bold a claim as “RU-vid agrees with me”, then SHE needs to provide proof that they agree with her. That’s a really bold claim to make, to speak on the behalf of an entity such as RU-vid in this way without providing anything from of them actually saying “we agree that Eugenia is dangerous” or something of the like. And no, her video getting flagged wasn’t because of her having bits of EC’s video in hers, otherwise EC’s video would have been flagged as well. I find the idea it's other people's responsibility to parent *your* kids incredibly offensive. I grew up in a single parent household, twice over once my mom married an incredibly worthless man and I got stuck taking care of their child as well. It isn't hard to keep track of what your charges are doing.

Eating disorders are a form of self-harm, something that other individuals may be influenced by, and then imitate if exposed to it regularly, even if someone doesn’t have a prior history of the act. It’s seriously pervasive. Eugenia’s content doesn’t seem to directly revolve around or dwell on her ED, so it’s hard to say that just seeing someone suffering from an ED is trigger enough. I don’t know that she needs to be de-platformed based on her appearance alone. There are other content creators with bodies that share similarities with Eugenia’s that are themselves positively living and thriving with a different condition. Should they be de-platformed as well? Yes, content creators need to be socially conscious of the material they produce and how they present it, particularly with self-harm. And warnings about potentially disturbing content are very helpful when heeded. But, at some point, we can’t erase everything pertaining to a disorder completely. It ‘s the responsibility of parents for their children and adult individuals to monitor what they view and how they process it.

All I have to say is this. What the hell is wrong with these types of people.

Hi, linguist here (BA in linguistics) and I've watched multiple takes on Belle's videos and honestly, after listening to her statements and watching her videos by proxy, I must say she is legitimately not a good person. The way she twists both EC and Willy's words frustrated me to another degree because the implication of her words held more power than the words themselves and she knew that. That's why she had to backtrack and try everything in her power to paint Willy's video in a bad light. She definitely implied that Willy was a bigot/misogynist but because she "never said that" outright, it doesn't count. Her usage of Sloan as a reference made... no sense; what does Sloan covering these topics have anything to do with Belle covering EC? Sloan did not use concrete sources when he covered EC and neither did Belle- oh wait. I guess they are relatable 🤣 She's a braincell away from having a single braincell.

(Does are 3 to 4 years old) 2. Parts of a video (the reason why there's another girl in it) that if you watch it in it's entirely you'll see that the creator doesn't agree with her. Probably one of the reasons Belle didn't credit said creator in the description box.

One thing that wasn't brought up, there is such thing as a parental lock, like let's say the parent/parents can't afford a nanny or can't take their kids to the place they need to go, just get a parental lock on the TV or computer, kids ain't tech-savvy so it's not like they'd know how to unlock it. So Belle's "parent's don't Gotta be responsible" (Because that's basically what it is) Doesn't work even in the way of the parents being poor.

Honestly, I remember finding her channel when I went down that rabbit hole into the whole Dahvie Vanity aka Jesus Torres singer of Blood on the Dancefloor (ridiculous band if you ask me 😑) and I felt as though she was extremely caring, gave the survivors a platform to speak about their experiences and what they went through with that absolute horrible excuse for a human (Dahvie Vanity) so I thought yeah I'm going to subscribe because she seemed like an absolutely lovely person who was trying to help these girls/women tell their stories, it was really empowering for them and what they've been through, I was like wow this chick seems like such a great, genuine, lovely person with a good heart. I remember she also did the same with the whole Onision situation and was quite impressed! NOW: once she started getting more into the whole drama section of what's been going on and especially making so many videos on Eugenia. I thought she cared at first but upon seeing more and more videos, I started to wonder why is she making so many of these and the way she would talk about Eugenia was making me feel really uncomfortable, as though she was just making videos on this situation in order for clout. Parents really should be more responsible for what their kids are exposed to. I tried to say this in my comm class when discussing advertising and how they promote white-blonde-skinny-beautiful girls instead of the "average" short, acne-d, fat, nonwhite girl. This is what my 60+ professor said; she made excuses against my point because she can't manage her emotions. Those instagram girls complaining that the app made them depressed because 'beauty standards' should've just gotten off the app. This is like with people wanting to 'see' themselves in fiction, instead of looking at the ideals the character portrays. It is not the agency's fault that you feel lesser about yourself. Parents should be the ones to teach you to appreciate your own looks, not someone else's. I'm not the most confident about my looks. I do look at models and such and feel wistful sometimes. But that is my fault, not theirs, or "society". I understand it's easy to feel this way in your early teens; which is why parents should guide their kids to accepting themselves.
