I don't understand why the doctor doesn't give this kind of information to the patient to help with recovery. I've been several times and all they did was give the injection and tell you good luck. Thank you very much for the information. I'm sure gonna try it.
I agree. Had two injections from different doctors, both got out the door as quickly as possible. Once said “ok, we’re done” and the other said see you in 6 months. Notice when you have some kind of procedure, the nurse usually gives you a handout or sheet that gives you some kind of instructions? Not with this. All people should be proactive in taking care of your health. There’s tons of great information you can find on YT from credible sources. This video is a perfect example. Stationary bike with the easiest setting is just a smooth rotation with no pressure and works great. Motion without compression.
Received a gel injection a week ago and my knee is in so much pain. I have burning by my kneecap and my calf and thigh muscles feel so tight. Not sure if I overdid for the first 4 days. I am 66 with osteoarthritis and a couple of tears. I feel like I did when I had my other replaced 4 years ago. Plus the injection was very painful, won’t do that again.
@@judysustar8237 you may consider performing the Days 0 - 4 recommendations for 1 - 3 weeks. Improvement often occurs gradually. (If your symptoms worsen, stop sooner and follow up with your physician.)

I just had gel injections . Three shots a week apart. Now a week after the last on I came hardly walk. My knee wants to give out and it hurts. I could walk better will less pain before. Not doing this again.
Have had perhaps 5 HLA injections previously without problem. This morning had one without first having the numbing shot. Ouch. This video says to introduce activities 50% after then 3rd day. My question: what do I do the 1st 3 days? Nothing? Or the exercises in this video? FYI, does not hurt to walk. Thanks,

Thank you for this advice. I just got my shot and the PA said oh you can go about your day as normal. Ma'am i can't even walk out the door. This was very helpful
3rd day I had to use stairs for my granddaughter’s party. Next day I was in even more discomfort. I had one knee fine and one knee very stiff. Thanks for info for future injections
A bit late for me now to find out about the special care needed! After the injection ( some 10 days later) my knee became swollen and it took some two months before I could start being able to bend it. It took some 2 more months with training and swimming before I could reach a nearly problem free knee. (The decision for the injection aimed at proactively facilitate my knee joint movement which I felt at times about to “block”. I presently try to exercise regularly (leg press and elliptical machine in the gym and swimming coupled with exercises on my weak glute muscles that seem to have an impact) I have also embarked on chondroeitin/ glucosamine tablets for a month now. Wish me luck…(67 years old male patient)
I think everything is not for use all. I get my 1st injection on Thursday and i believe it will workout because no one is going to mess my Pretty Leg up! I had a Hip Replacement last yr and it went Fablous. Feeling awesome.

Got two injections 6 mo apart Not much pain after, waited 9 mo just got 3rd injection was sore when got Hm.Slept woke up really sore today is this normal ? Thank you.
@nopro5433 Delayed knee soreness is common with conditions requiring gel injections. Increased soreness may be related to activities or positions that place too much pressure inside the knee. These guidelines may provide relief: kertzcoaching.ck.page/gelinjectionsfreeguide
@arielle7557 the answer will vary based on how active you were (without pain) prior to injections. Check out more details about what to do following gel injections within this free guide: kertzcoaching.ck.page/gelinjectionsfreeguide
@Cindi644 I'm sorry injections weren't a good experience for you. You may find it helpful to follow the recommendations within my free guide for healthier knees: kertzcoaching.ck.page/enjoystrongerknees
@@AyoSteviee17 Yes it was horrific. You have to take it easy for 48 hours. Abstain from heavy lifting and strenuous work. My Orthopedic Doctor said it takes about four weeks for the gel to work. I will never do it again .
@Traci-ru8dh In some cases, yes. Avoid activities that place enough pressure on your injected knee to aggravate your symptoms. Four days after your injections, I recommend that you begin resuming activities at no more than 50% the intensity and duration that were pain-free for your knee prior to injections. I called my Doctor at OSSO HEALTH about my knee hurts 10×s worst now and 4days after call still no call back. This is why I'm on you tube to see what other people are saying about injections.
I had a cortisone injection in my knee two months ago and it really helped. Some have told me, that if cortisone helped, the hyaluronic acid injection will help much better and last longer. True?
@kevinpowers9024 many people who are get symptom relief from cortisone injections also benefit from hyaluronic acid injections. However, I've not seen research to support predictions of how well or for how long they will help.
Question for anybody with input, I received a Durolane injection a week ago tomorrow to be exact. How long does it usually take to feel comfort? I've been in constant pain ever since my injection.😖
Make sure that guided imaging is used for gel injections. I had a orthopedic doctor inject blindly and he missed the knee joint. Now I go to a clinic that uses ultrasound to make sure the injection goes into the joint.
Is pain normal after injection? I feel like I have so much pressure inside my knees and I can not fully bend or extend my left knee. It is like the gell is in the wrong place... No instruction for aftercare from my doctor at all!!! I told him that I work on my feet 12 hours and he said go ahead!! After hearing your video I am stunned!!
@snjezanakraljic223 I recommend that you tell your doctor's office that you're experiencing pain. And I suggest you consult this zero-cost guide: kertzcoaching.ck.page/gelinjectionsfreeguide
@normaondina9687 great question! This will depend, in part, on how much pain-free walking you were doing prior to injections. Check out more details about resuming activities after gel injections within this free guide: kertzcoaching.ck.page/gelinjectionsfreeguide
