Like inn wrestling the underhook in brazilian jiu-jitsu is extremely important in both attacking and defending. In this video I cover a few key concepts that will help you make your underhook attack more effective.
checkout www.jujiclub.com for more details on these maneuvers.

Narrated rolls are some of your best content. Especially if you did a breakdown on the movements without a partner in the video.

Firas, you are the best at explaining concepts in rolling videos like these. Stopping the video at the right points, not rambling on too long like some others, perfecto.

I like how you say a concept, and then later prove the effectiveness of it live.

Hey Firas. Thank you so much for this video. I implemented these concepts in open mat today and just this one video alone changed everything for the better. My guard was instantly way better, I could see more leg lock opportunities and was able to spot in my partner those times when they weren't following these guidelines and capitalize with neck attacks. Thanks again.

I love the way you explain grappling concepts. Haqparast did so well yesterday imo and I love the outer reap from the outside foot position. I've been wanting to train that all year but I'm a casual so COVID has kept me out of the gym. Haqparast's performance inspired me to come back and rewatch some of your grappling explanations. Congrats to him and you for the victory.

I think you are one of the best coaches BECAUSE you think outside of the box...I think so much out of the box when it comes to fighting... or whatever I just believe that every technique that is used today somebody had to first THINK of that idea/ technique... and technique thats new will be extremely hard to stop at least for a while/maybe years before people actually people actually start catching on to it... at least 80 percent of coaches/people period teach the SAME things that has been taught hundreds of years ago and even if they have a different way to do a technique most don’t consistently look for NEW techniques. I grew up (boxing) all of my life and boxing is where my background started (did have 2mma fights and a few years of ji jitsu training) but still i have sooooo many ideas, techniques, and SMALL things that I know for a fact that nobody is doing. Its the small things that make fighters good. i have a thousand ideas. I wish we could get together and work together serious. I actually inboxed you on both of your pages on Facebook like 2weeks ago. Ive trained a few people and is trying to expand but yea🤙 hopefully we can work together one day. I believe we’ll have come up with some CRAZY stuff together. No doubt.

Thank you for this, Coach. Do this high elbow rule apply for an underhook knee cut from top as well? i dont remember having heard of it while learning this pass. And what about wrestling underhooks? do you want to try to open your elbow as well or you keept it close to you? Thank!
